Funny how the met office can update an advisory but are uncertain for the southwest but if we lived in london it would be the start of the new ice age!

Ok this is looking good/bad for most of us and i would suspect most highground areas will suffer the most. Lets just hope that the local councils and highways have enough salt/grit for the roads as reports from other councils around the country say they are starting to run out.
The only other bad thing to come of this weather event is that some of the schools will close at the sign of the first flake and we have only just got the kids back to school after christmas!!

Afternoon and here in Street the current temp is -2C and falling now the sun has gone. Keeping a keen eye on the forcast as i have to drive someone to Bristol airport in the morning.
If the new model updates are correct then this could be a tricky couple of days if you have to travel around the westcountrty.

A whopping 7.9C here with winds from the SSW and thick thick fog, although its clear at about 1600feet. Driving back from town I took the 'high road' and it was like driving through pockets of mist, and every now and again you'd pop out of it and see for miles over the top of the fog and then bang, can't see the end of the bonnet again.
Much warmer than yesterday, which is a bit backwards no?
Hello, New poster here and just a quick report from Street that we have a no wind and temp is 2.5C. Hope the trend for sunday into monday will be good for snow as many are saying round here we could have a dusting.
