Morning all! Happy Christmas Eve! Well for the 3rd year in a row Christmas Eve morning temps are already at 10.3c here looking at possible 12c mid afternoon. This weather pattern is the exact as 2016 My max temp Christmas Eve 2016 was 11.3c Christmas day 2016 was 13.8c 2015 was 11.2c 2014 was 11.3c So tomorrow double figures yet again, with poss 11c early Christmas Day slowly dropping off later on! Just as last year Christmas week turning cold before milder air greets us for new year again! The days of Dec 2010 may well be once in a life time event! Jan Feb 2018 thoughts, spring like no doubt lol

Just look at the charts for Christmas, 12c-14 c as expected,

Absolutely chucking it down with rain if only? Would had at least 7cm snow so annoying as at 5am temp was -3.3 now +3.0

Can someone explain why in 12 hrs we were in for the most intense snow storm Thursday night Friday now absolutely nothing, yes I know charts 5/6 days ahead do change dramatically but it was nailed down by the model room at 9pm last night in fact 200 of them were over excited.

Yes I remember actually, coast only had a dusting, Here Attleborough had lying snow of some sort for 3 weeks from the 8th Dec to about the 30th .Bit ironic that morning I was in mid Norfolk and It was dank mild possibly 11c and they said by end of day would be snow, by 6 driving home temp had dropped to 1c and heavy snow for 6 hours on and off, was a day to remember,

I see the model room is absolutely at bursting point it's been a few years since I've seen it so busy. Hopefully this time next week this room will be the same. Who reckons a 2010 December may happen ??

To be fair Yarmouth did, but you only had to go few miles down the room and was sleet and rain, personally I think this cold spell was a bit of a overrated event in this area ! Again!

Well yet again bit of meh really, cold damp wet sums up Attleborough this morning! Hey ho welcome to Winter everybody, who placing bets temps on 24/25th this month being 12c-15c just like last year ! and 2015 silly me 2014 as well ! Winter Just sucks in December! Apart from 2010 of course ha!

First snow flake shown on my phone I know it’s early days, but for November!

Well my first full 12 hours (so far since 7pm last night ) Air Frost here in Mid Norfolk. Down to -3.3c my lowest November min in 7 years! Not to keen on next week set up for this area yes a northerly but not expecting any snow due to the North Sea still at 12c . Always the case this time of year , if only it was mid Jan. Oh well can't complain let's just hope all what's going on in the model forum that winter 2017/18 will be a year for cold after last year close but no cigar event!

A week ago, everyone was looking at this week coming with potential for cold conditions to persist, oh the joys of late Autumn, now more like early spring weather with possible 16c here in Norfolk!

Great post I agree also. It's been a Winter that's "what could of been" we we're close to full blown cold but wasn't to be. i know people like snow me also, but we have so gone over the top yesterday and today about a few flakes, I know it doesn't really take much in this country to get excited but really just for flakes\dusting, as I've said in my last few post sun and warmth please now!
