  1. This has got to be the worst forecasted cold spell in years, the MO warnings are a joke the forecasted min temps also. Yawn yawn.
  2. this is all so bizarre really.? We're in the middle of winter when you would expect winds from the north you would guarantee snow, this has all been so over hyped. This is how typical of the UK overall as if this set up was in late March early April it would Snow when you don't want it lol
  3. just so unbelievable where is all this cold air that they all keep saying, bored with all this now
  4. So far today I have had 5 met office warning alarms go off. Pages and pages of warnings and none of it make sense.
  5. the latest on my met office app gives heavy rain shower for norwich Sunday, but still a yellow warning for snow puzzled
  6. like a lot of others on here have said, I too will not be reading the model threads they are all moaning at each other just because they can't find any charts that will guarantee cold next few weeks.... Ones that do would easily get a Job with the Daily Express!!!! If their that concerned they want cold head to Russia .
  7. Back from my Christmas break. It's all doom and gloom in the model forum. Look like jan 2015 may continue the trend of above average temps, with no sign of cold, in fact a even worse outlook then this time yesterday. However as much as I like cold and snow as the next person, it just causes so much problems as seen in the Midlands on boxing day. With more traffic on the road every year any flake of snow cause gridlock. As a sales rep who travels around EA I hate Jan and Feb when it snows I can never get home. Shame the snow didn't fall here Boxing Day from the comfort of my own home. So put into context if the current weather treads stay the same Norwich could go without snow for the 2nd year running.
  8. Merry Christmas everyone, model forum guys are all sulking again, come on guys it's Christmas. Not often I say this but the met office has been spot on with their forecast this winter and looks like jan is going to start very mild.
  9. If this storm did happen on East coast there is no spring tide due next weekend on the norfolk Coast, in dec 2013 there was. So if the storm happens at low tide it would be nowhere near as much impact or even normal high tide come to that. It will be all in the timing of it.
  10. I've never believed Google own weather but as Google my home page it shows a snow symbol for Xmas day,( Norwich) looking at latest charts looks very dry crisp and sunny.
  11. agree on a certain extent, but they making it out if it's going to be hell lol, watch and see I guess
  12. What is it with the model forum. You just have to laugh sometimes, they are now suggesting a weather bomb down the east coast and cause a massive storm surge. Come on guys be real, it won't happen., otherwise you will get Nathan Reo on the case. Maybe they are so dishearted that there is now sign of snow they need something else to discuss.
  13. What a topsy turfy Winter this is. No one really knows what's going to happened in next few days let alone rest of Winter. I have recorded more frosts so far than the entire last winter.
  14. Just read the latest news from the weather channel, and it says that America looks like to have way above average temps for next 2 weeks, also poss till Christmas too... After just having a record cold November. So does anyone know what impact will have on our weather in next 3 weeks. I give up reading the model forum as know one really knows,
  15. Just look at my temps recorded from last Dec, on the 6th I had 4.9 max temp today 4.2 so on the right track. However the rest of dec 2013 as we know was averaging around 10c. Then apart from a couple of 5c the rest of winter was around 9c-12c.
  16. Just back on here after a week, this time last week the model guys were getting very excited about next Friday getting a start of a cold spell, well looks like this is not happing but they still seems very excited that something will early December. So many mixed messages on other sites too. I'm just going to take a day at a time. Even tonight's forcast have still no idea about this weekends weather let a know next few days,
  17. Morning all, back here for my winter season! I hear this just could be the start of a possible cold spell end of Nov beginning of Dec. Weather sites and forums seem to be getting very excited this morning. Still looks very slim tho, but at least there's a hint as not once did it happen last year. I won't get too excited just yet, as Met Office 30 days still say above normal temps, Typical November morning here in West Norwich foggy at present 6.5 c
  18. First lawn cut of the year, my back garden is bathed in sunshine and I even put a sweat on!, Daffs are out, and looking rather spring like.
  19. Just notice today that in my front garden that my daffs have just popped out of the soil, this didn't happen until mid march last year. With even milder temps in the coming week, be interesting to see how high they get. We all just know that winter will arrive 1st March and stick around all spring!
  20. Hi all, thought I'd say hello as last on here end of April, so strange reading about storms and high winds then the normal expected snow. However saying that the very long cold spell only started on the 15th January this year so you never know. We all forget that a normal winter in Great Britain, snow is most common in Feb, so loads of time yet!
  21. Another grey start here in Norwich. A bit annoying to been in a hot office all week with blue sky to find this weekend dull. Typical that Monday looks like to be a cracker of a day.On the storms front will this area really see any as the sea is so cold still and keep the storms further inland? To be honest no one really knows what is going to happen this week.
  22. It is bizzare that the whole of UK had sun all week and here in Norwich yet again like every evening it has turned dull chilly 12.8c currently, looks chilly all day Friday. people you just dam know it on Sunday Norwich will cloud over and get that isolated thunderstorm. Goes to show how dam cold that north sea is. normally Norwich can have best of the temps in UK
  23. Can't believe some of ityou want more snow. Im a great lover of it in Jan\Feb NOT late march and with no warm weather likely in weeks before we know it will be winter again
