  1. Temps here in the Medway Valley are as in my sig. Smallest of snow smattering in earliest hours, could even count individual flakes on garden bench! Starting to cloud up now. but they don't look to have any potential at all.
  2. Is it me or are the BBC forecasts both online and on air, very reluctant to give this potential prolonged cold spell any credit. I've seen forecasts and opinion, modules and more, that all suggest this cold snap, is gonna be more than a "snap" perhaps lasting 3 more weeks with possible daytime temps in the South East not even reaching above zero (rare). But all the Beeb (Met boys and Girls) seem to be saying.... "Cold spell lasting in to the weekend"... Why are they not spinning the potential long range major story????
  3. Indeed snowfields will have an effect on any temps, especially daytime where if they predict +2'C, expect it to be locally 0 or +1 max. Any wind around will also effect the wind chill, blowing across lying snow would make it feel even colder!
  4. 1 1/2 hours and a 2.5'C downward temp shift. -2.3'C Currently here in the Medway Valley. Love all your optimism re snowfall. But I do tend to think the Met would have some sort of warning out at the very least. Nothing flagging up for next few days, just hope some of your predictions catch them with thier snowy pants down!
