  1. Well this morning I had a feeling the 06Z GFS was onto something. Looking at the sat/radar and im 100% convinced the heavy band of snow will hit Sussex into London. This will then move N (uncertain how much) during the night and affect Herts, Beds, Bucks then into parts of the E Midlands i,e Northants.

Now whilst all of this is going on a another band of snow will be moving S from the N Sea and will affect Cambs, Norfolk during the night. These two bands of snow are likely to merge before moving S to affect the rest of the region. I can see snow being persistant for much of this region for tomorrow.

Thanks :whistling: Looks like I better get to Tesco tonight then!! lol Was the plan of action for today until my Mum decided to slip on the ice and break her wrist....

Kids will be pleased if they get a snow day from school tomorrow!! lol

Will keep my eye out for any further updates from you

  2. So it looks like the 12Z continued with the trend from the 06Z.

This band of heavy snow looks to hit London head on. We then see this move N with again the S limit being S Cambs. This band then seems to move into the Midlands but as it does so we see the band from the N hit Cambs, Norfolk. The GFS indicates these bands of snow merging before moving S into the rest of the region for tomorrow.

Looking at the sat/radar im even more confident of my forecast this morning.

Another Newbie here, have been lurking for a while, but still struggling to understand the charts etc... Wonder what TEITS forecasts for IMBY tonight and tomorrow?

Hope everyone is enjoying the white stuff!!
