    That should have been our snow in Northants, we need it. Can't beleive we missed out again

    BBC showed Sunday's snow as only just clipping the south west of England, which is crazy how it can change that much overnight. Still some time to go yet but it is worrying.

    Think I got my hopes up prematurely. Showers are still struggling to make it to Northants and they keep missing us anyway, should get better later though.

    serious activity in the wash now! and as you say those showers are not losing their intensity. This could be the best snowfall of the spell so far.

    Na that was the spell before Christmas, that got rained away and thawed before this spell.

    Excellent, we caught a pretty decent shower and there's probably an extra 2cm now Still snowing and the roads and cars are completely white again.

    It is in east northants ok we probably got about 4-5 inches in December. I think this cold spell will come good for us in the east mids soon though, we normally do well from easterly winds.

    We should be in a pretty good position for some prolonged snow, won't know how heavy it will be till closer to the time though.

    looks like a bigger shower building in the wash now, surely that will make it far enough inland!

    I've been keeping an eye on the wash since last night and it keeps disappointing. Though it does seem more promising at the moment.

    Strange, looked out the window and it's snowing here quite well despite there not being anything on the radar.

    I hear you, they are going in the right direction but they just keep dying.

    That will be because the GFS is not forecasting much precipitation further than 2 days ahead. Doesn't mean there won't be any though.

    GFS 12z showing snow showers pushing quite far inland tommorow.

    I hope you're right NorthantsSnow and we can play catchup a bit to those in the south. It makes a change for Northampton to get more snow than Rushden.

    Not a brilliant covering here either still. Looks like there is a bigger and heavier snow shower coming from the east but it may just miss us to the south. Our best chance is probably friday onwards when heavier showers should hopefully start coming in from the wash.

    These snow showers coming from the east coast are pretty good. Nice long line of them waiting for us, and they keep intensifying before Northants

    Snowing here in rushden too but we've barely got 2cm still Looks like everywhere near us got good snow apart from others in north east anglia. I suppose I can't complain as we got good snow in Dec and amazing snow in Feb.

    That's it, no more watching the radar i've had enough. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised come tommrow morning but I doubt it, might have a drive down south. Just hope we get something from the east in the next few days

    Doesn't look like it. It's just heading west and going away from us.

    This is really annoying, Rushden is 5 miles too northeast. Northampton should get a good covering though.

    After reaching me it doesn't seem to be going any further north, might be stuck with the light stuff on the edge

    light snow just started here, hopefully a sign of things to come
