    GFS 12z once again shows heavy snow later on over east mids and east anglia :lol:

    It's looking like the snow just below Birmingham could creep into the east mids in the next few hours

    finally it's snowing lightly here

    Snow is literally a mile above me but it's moving in such an easterly direction is taking forever to reach us.

    not looking so good for east mids now though I'm sure there could be some surprises, snow rarely goes to plan.

    That's why I like metcheck, people criticise them but all they do is illustrate the GFS runs which is fine in the short term.

    looks good but I'm not going to get carried away yet, the BBC are still downplaying the snow somewhat for Tues and Weds. Would be so funny though if the one place the Met O don't put an advisory out for (the mids) gets 25cm

    It certainly has, 24hrs of quite heavy snow for the midlands.

    That is funny, I'm not worried being in the East Midlands though. Here in Rushden we tend to get similar snowfall to Peterborough.

    Rushden is a funny one with regards to location, I see it as East Mids. I used to drive through 3 counties to get to work, despite it only being a 12 mile drive. Anyway, first post been viewing this forum for a few years and decided to register since we seem to be in quite an interesting cold spell. If it is anything like Feb 09 here I will be delighted.:lol:
