Is the band going to edge further south back over sheffield or is it stalling further north? Temp at 0.0

The 06z GFS is extending the snow now until tonight after it was earlier saying the snow would die out after midday. At present it is still snowing... I have just been out on the moors and it is like a blizzard up there. If this carries on into the night we will be digging ourselves out the front door up here
Sky news weather, have been showing it until tomorrow morning.

Att 11.00am there were 4 and a quarter inches of lying snow in Stanley in Wakefield. Current temp is 1.1C - it's been at 1.0C for the last hour. At 8.00am it was 0C bang on.
Still snowing reasonably large flakes. Met Office last few hours of rader runs appears to show the precipitation not moving very far at all - in fact it's pretty much stuck!
Going to be stuck for a good few hours!

My other half is on his way to work into sheffield (wicker), and the city lost power.

Just about to set off to work. Should be interesting today. Nothing from my employers so job as normal.
All the places I work in are gridlocked...Doncaster Rotherham Worksop, Pontefract, Castleford and NG20 postcode area. Not even a voice of concern from my boss at all.
My webcam shows the latest images in Crossgates. I will be turning it off soon as the PC uses too much electric to leave on.
Anyhow, we have around 3 inches at the moment. Traffic chaos, gas shortages and the phone lines will come down any moment....
I'll see you all later. I have a flask, my waterproof suit for my leathers incase the worst should happen and a shovel....
Sheffield is like a car park..

Got side tracked, but has been snowing here for past 30 minutes. Its not big flakes but seems to be coming down at speed, can't tell how much has accumilated though due to the existing snow.
