    A few snow flurries on and off this morning. Heavier sleet/snow around mid day, then rain and hail showers there after.

    The band of precipitation split over us in the night, hense having nothing at all when I wooke up this morning. Very heavy rain at around 8am this morning followed quickly by squally hail showers. A few light hail and snow showers this afternoon. A lot of thawing happened today, more than any other day since last thursdays major snow event.

    Some light snow this morning for around an hour, gave a dusting on the higher ground. Hills the the west of us still over 50% covered and large drifts still intact.

    Woke up to a dusting of snow this morning. Snowed mainly lightly but a few moderate bursts all morning till around 1.30 then a few passing flurries this afternoon. On the higher ground to the west of Sheffield it left another cm on top of the current lying snow and a dusting elsewhere. Nothing has settled at home and on other lower ground.

    Had light to steady snow falling from around 6.15 till 8.45pm, never got to falling moderatly. Has left a dusting on cars and grass + icy patches. Very cold and still.

    A few flurries of snow fluttered down this morning between 4 and 5.30 am. Gave the slightest of dustings on frozen puddles and cars.

    STILL SNOWING MODERATLY, SLIGHT THAW FROM UNDERNEATH THE BLANKET I THINK AS A FEW BLADES OF GRASS ARE SHOWING THROUGH THE SNOW THI=OUGH THE FALLING SNOW IS STILL SETTLING ONTOP.

    Snow has been falling since 8Pm last night and here it left 10cm/4" so far. Still snowing too. Day off work as I cant get upto other side of sheffield as roads are blocked up there. They had 10cm lying yesterday and have had 15cm overnight, thats a whopping 25cm/10"!!!!!

    Moderate snow still falling, nearly another cm since 8.30, roads very dangerous at the moment. lots of black ice with snow ontop.

    Light to moderate snow blowing around for over an hour now, seems like its the very front edge of the fronts moving in!!

    Patches of snow at 3cm deep. Total dept this cold spell = 5cm. Total dept this cold spell at work where I spend most of my time which is the other side of Sheffield = 10cm

    Took a while for the showers to push through in the night, only really started snowing this morning at around 6 am but constant heavy snow showers all day have left a 10cm covering in the higher suburbs but at home at 100m, only large patches where the depth is around 3 cm. A slight dusting from a recent shower.

    Currently a light to moderate snow shower falling, settling but only a dusting at the mo. about 7 showers so far since I woke at 7.00 this morning. lots during last night though.

    2cm at 8 am this morning 0.01 cm currnetly. Nearby higher suburbs 6cm at 8 am 1cm in places currently.

    Woke up to 2 cm of snow this morning, nearly all melted, a few heavy afternoon showers have left a very light dusting again. Over the hills and higher parts there is more of a covering left after about 6 cm fell during the night. First 2 pictures are from work at 8 am this morning with 6 cm of snow. The 3rd picture is from outside my house at 7.30am with 2cm of snow.

    Frequent overnight snow showers have left 3 cm here on the low grounf, 10 cm on higher suburbs of sheffield though. looks amazing out of the windows, white for miles!!

    2 more short, moderate snow showers, thats 8 so far I count for today, dusting now!

    Woke up to a dusting of snow this morning. Have had 6 showers so far of varing intencity, the recent one of very heavy snow and soft hail has left another thin covering after all earlier showers melted soon after falling.

    Another shortish moderate snow shower, big flakes and tried to settle, not quite heavy enough though. Gritters out in force at the moment!

    At last, a heavy snow shower. Large flakes blowing around in the wind. The first of many, hopefully to at last make it right the way through to south yorkshire!

    Very light flurry about 30 mins ago, darker, thick cloud now building to my n/ne over barnsley and doncaster and I can clearly see snow falling from these as Im quite high up. 15 miles away and counting..

    Woke up to a a smattering of soft hail this morning which didnt melt in the shade but now the wind has picked up and is mainly overcast with occasional snow flakes blowing around. Getting excited over the overdue cold/snowy spell!!
