    Patchy light sleet on and off, more persistant this afternoon but now its just rain :lol:

    Frequent light snow/mini hail showers till early afternoon. Slight covering till mid morning when temps rose and melted it. Cold wind all day and little sunshine.

    Cheers, looks like the snow showers you have been having are moving ever south east, unexpectedly too. Here its, cloudy, Hazy and very cold, no snow yet though but the radar looks promising!!!

    Got about a cm here from numerous showers this morning, as I type, the sky goes an earie pink colour and it snowing again.I hear higher parts have 2 inchs around here

    Just had a very heavy almost torrential hail and sleet shower that turned to rain, large hail with snow flakes in, was unexpected, has soaked everything after a dry, crisp day, had a few light hail showers early this morning and mid afternoon too.

    Lots of sleety snow showers now, blowing a gale too, if this carries on then its bound to stick, higher parts around here must have a dusting already as im only 95m asl

    Been snowing on and off for about half an hour, a bit heavy now and starting to settle. Exciting!! Merry Christmas!

    Very light flurries on and off all morning then at 12.15 it started to snow and for the next 90 mins, it was like being in an arctic blizzard, massive flakes being blown sideways by the wind. This left about 1cm of lying snow at 300 meters but at lower levels there is just a dusting. Much more snow than the occasional rain/sleet that they forcast!

    HERE IN SHEFFIELD THE SNOW LINE IS VERY LOW, SNOW RIGHT DOEN TO 60M ASL, IM AT 97M ASL AND WE HAVE APROX 1-2CM BUT WHERE I WORK, WHICH HAS BEEN SNOWED IN AT 300M ASL THERE IS A WAPPING 11CM! SNOWED FROM 3PM TILL APPROX 9PM, WHAT A TREAT, CLEAR AND COLD CURRENTLY.

    Sunny start, clouded over dramatically and now, driving rain!

    Tremendously heavy, sharp shower, lasted about 5 minutes but could hear it on the roof from downstairs.

    Well this is for thurs 25th, Snowed for about an hour this morning,at about 9am, large flakes, tried to settle on cars and grass. Started as sleet and finished as rain.

    S now, sleet and hail on and off all day, persistant this morning. 2 heavier bursts which layed for a short while.

    Heavy snow falling in sheffield, blowing around and settling nicely

    Moderate snow for half an hour now, settling nicely onto rest of last nights 2 inchs and the huge amount of bare ground where the snow melted. Is much heavier than radar suggests

    think it might just clip you, snow blizzard. just been outside and the snow earlier is all crunchy in the grass, not white or anything but very icy, cars covered but hopefully more to come if this snow doesnt go too far south east

    pretty heavy snow falling here in sheffield, starting to settle, lots more to come from the trough moving out of west yorks!!!
