The raw feeling will dissipate early hours of Sunday , it’s been cold for 14 days , less cold on Friday 12th but overall a cold occasionally very cold fortnight !!
shame snow was limited to showers and flurries allthough pleased for all that had more
it returns very soon
About time we had Wintry conditions and content to talk about for January…
There maybe signs of a Scandalous Awakening regarding HP building as we go into Feb….. This winter is not finished just yet

Frost and ice surviving strongly in the shade
tomorow last raw feeling day
Tomorrows temps are forecasted to be 4c - 6C….but yes it’ll feel raw as you mentioned, as stronger winds will make it feel below freezing

This is what winter should be (used to be, for we 'older' folk)...! Love the weather atm. Sure, it's a shame it's not going to last...but a) at least we've had it! and b) maybe we'll get another go, maybe in Feb and March! Somebody else posted somewhere (sorry, can't remember who) that in their area, they think of 'winter' as Jan, Feb, Mar these days, as December is a mild washout and March more consistently cold. So March could be in the game too, like last year. Anyway, for now...I'm thoroughly enjoying the sharp nip in the air. About to go for a short, sharp walk in it!
I know your not with us right now, but as you can see the spine of the uk is including you up north

Down to - 2°C now
Anything below -5°C these days here without snow cover starts to get notable and could get there tonight.
December 2022 went to -7°C also without much snow, so can only imagine with snow cover like what north Yorkshire has we would also be seeing some negative double figures as well.
Its dropping fast, at 5:30pm -2.0c..now at 5:45pm it’s -2.7C
