Couldn't believe it got down to -1.7c 6am this morning. Next 3 nights will be -2c. Bet the lake behind our house might ice over by Wednesday

Totally agree! It was like a dead cert for usual locations but shown how different it was.

Just to prove how disappointing this easterly has been look at the temp from Monday. Max 2c nearly every day. Such a shame really.

I think with this easterly the wind streams haven't been straight off the North sea with the kinks pointing more north east inland causing showers to die off. 06z would be a different story with the flow being streamline and would be so much better. Also risk of this happening sooner with the flatliners on this graph 2m temps.
