  2. Hi folks, was snowing lightly in Greenwich, but still a slow thaw going on, not much here now going back to green grass .... by morning probably be nothing left or if by chance a very long shower of snow may brighten my morning. Still anyway we'll have to await the next lot possibly end of Jan early Feb ....
  3. Lets hope this does occur and we go back to the cold wintry theme with plenty of snow in different places that hadn't had alot, thx for this Paul, logging off now going to work, adieu folks
  4. It appears any snow that does come will move eastwards towards Wales from North Sea that looks the general pattern.
  5. God I hope so, I hate the atlantic lows always bringing rainy crap lol ... But we're the brunt of atlantic lows and guard against the rest of europe or northern half lol
  6. http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-app/reports?LANG=en&MENU=203&DAY=20100110 Sorry to put a dampener on things but tis lovely snowy weather is due to end soon ....
  7. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/surface_pressure.html Ok this is a novice question here, judging by the look of this surface pressure map from MetO that red line is a warm front does that constitute the thaw that everyone is talking about ??? I do believe that the high pressure is moving north and the low pressure is pushing up from the Atlantic possibly losing our cold air ..... a return to Atlantic low pressure systems ???
  8. Thx PureOcean thats made me feel a lot better, I wondered about the wind easing somewhat, if indications are going right we may possibly have a Thames streamer ( sticking neck out here ) if winds vere Easterly, thx for the updates btw
  9. Dang can you move some up this way lol only 30 odd miles away
  10. Thats a positive note PureOcean, do you think its a possibility that London ( Greenwich area ) is likely to get any if at all ??? Working overtime today Greenwich town centre, would love to have a downpour while I'm there lol
  11. Something to look forward to I hope, maybe a repeat of Feb 09 would be a touch lol
  12. Thx for this update PureOcean, dont look like London will be hit though, if winds persist in the NNE direction, I would like to see the Easterly push it over our way ....
  13. http://www.meteogroup.co.uk/uk/home/weather/weather.html Strange how all the major cities' temps have all gone up
  14. Are the media trying to scaremonger ppl ?? Possibly more where the radar's are depicting it but media should'nt be saying that should they ???
  15. Slight melt going on here even though we have a meagre 1" apprently we're due to have drizzle in London, but other sites reporting snow/sleet its around 0c atm. I think London's had its chips on snow now
  16. Thx for the heads up, would be nice if it stays with us all nite, but hey happy with what we have, underlying snow of 4 cm with a little top up earlier ... would be a nice in the morning wake to find a white out
  17. Just about a cm here in Charlton, would have loved to have another Feb 09 that was delicious lol
  18. I'm definatly in the wrong part of the country ... lol, Lovely pix btw
  19. Been snowing since 3pm not even a 1cm yet .... maybe the heaviest stuff might be on its way, still heavy looking clouds and snowing slightly but had been a little heavier 10 mins ago ....
  20. Still snowing lightly but this looks like a large shower possibly an all nighter ??? Actual temp reading 0c slight covering on the ground.
  21. What a contrast to the pics you took earlier to these ones, nice one
  22. Yep same here but holding breath for a huge heavy shower or more prolonged snow ....
  23. This is what it looks like In Charlton, lol just got off the phone from my dad in Sittingbourne and he can just about see out of his window it is pummelling it there .... Stark contrast from SE London to Kent lol - Good luck on evry1 with the snow !!
