  1. agreed just goes to show with all the experienced members and useless met office and all these weather charts and temps are rising and its raining terrible.

Looking out in the solent no real evidence that temps rising, how ever wind has shift marginally more to the south in last hour which may account for the rise just inland. Don't forget the main event is not due for 12 hour so temps should drop over night and winds will be going more to the east. So hope things come good for you.

    I like

for looking at current wind and temp along solent

  2. That's a lot more exiting to see. Even if nothing comes of Mondays front, we could have many more chances to get something, and I think if a "battleground" scenario sets up again, the colder air may be more firmly in place and play to our advantage.

At the moment the models are struggling to get events nailed sub 48hours, looking at the output for Thursday next week is setting yourself up for a fall...

  3. I have a nasty feeling that this up and coming cold spell, has been over hyped once again, by many in the model forums and the press. Hopefully wrong but it seems to get pushed back and downgraded the closer we get. If the forums were to be believed last Thursday we were being told that today we would be snow bound. Had a bit of sleet at times today but not sure we will get much more than that.

  4. Probably because the cloud is a bit thicker. I noticed this afternoon that the temp DROPPED half a degree when the sun came out - weird. Now, as I said, I think we will see some wind shifts which may affect what happens on the coast. Shame it's dark because it would be possible to tell a lot more from the low cloud motion.

The wind along the coast is shifting to a more NE direction and hence temps are dropping slightly which is good news for you guys down there. try this website http://www.bramblemet.co.uk
