What is everyone going to do when councils start turning of street lights late at night??
-
Where is the snow gone, radar says snow, sky says no
-
Thats going west of us, some heavier stuff coming from London now. See what you mean, appologies.
Yes, can see very faint line from birmingham right across to say about croyden, this could get interesting
-
Just notice on the radar that there appears to be a very heavy band popping up to the SW of Birmingham. lets hope this extends

Approx 7mm covering, seems to be easing off again. What will the 18gfs suggest for the evening coming out now
-
Steady light snow now for the last 20mins, nothing overly exciting but does seems to be building in intensity.
-
At last snow again be it very light. That big gap in the radar seems to be drifting further west now. could be in for a few hours of snow now....
-
Has now been dry here for sometime after, the earlier burst.
Looks like something may be very close from the radar but it all looks very fragmented.
-
Have had about 30mins of light snow, which has provided a covering in North Waltham near Basingstoke

The front is racing in, looks like it is 3 hours ahead of itself to where the models predicted. Can't be good, looks like blasting the block away

For latest sea temperatures in the solent see:-
http://www.sotonmet.co.uk/(S(sjc3reyu0ugw5a45mwddgdaw))/default.aspx
there appears to be nothing unusual about the sea temperature.
The figures of 10degrees in Engish channel must be wrong.

thanks for the info, so is this likely to hit the IOW etc?? if so any idea when? Thanks
It looks set to pass right across South, can't see any ppn on the front over europe at the moment, so lets hope it picks up when it crosses channel.
no idea what time it is due, will keep watching radar this evening, for progress.

Hi,
My question is for any experts out there!
U all seem to be thinking that no-one is really sure if we're gonna c anymore snow over the next few days.
The radars dont sound overly promising so can anyone explain why sky news (red button) weather shows snow from late 2night throughout 2 moz morn and mon right on top of all of us down south??
Where do they get there info from?? And r they reliable??
The current UK radar is showing a small trough crossing the channel. The main band of snow is to follow this on a cold front which is currently over the middle of main land europe. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/surface_pressure.html
