For latest sea temperatures in the solent see:- http://www.sotonmet.co.uk/(S(sjc3reyu0ugw5a45mwddgdaw))/default.aspx there appears to be nothing unusual about the sea temperature. The figures of 10degrees in Engish channel must be wrong.
It looks set to pass right across South, can't see any ppn on the front over europe at the moment, so lets hope it picks up when it crosses channel.
no idea what time it is due, will keep watching radar this evening, for progress.
The current UK radar is showing a small trough crossing the channel. The main band of snow is to follow this on a cold front which is currently over the middle of main land europe. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/surface_pressure.html
