Well i expected downgrades as thats always the case, but even im astonished by how bad they are we,ve gone from an all out snowfest next week to nothing at all in the blink of an eye....utterly pathetic performance from all the models, they just cant handle winter synoptics in this country....anyone with more knowledge than me know why this is.

Not the best of starts then to todays modeling shennanigans...i do hope were not in for a day of despondency and hand wringing, been good in here last few days.

Imby post if ever there was one....cold rain fest for you maybe.....but a snowfest for many others.

...thats not a countrywide snow event looks like rain over the nw....and clear over cumbria and scotland.....if you look at the accompanying precipitation chart for that time period.

Last thing this region wants is an easterly....if there is, the death knell will sound for our snow chances......as for tonight, the blackburn snow shield is fully operational.

Dont know why people are getting excited by the gfs channel low...im sure fergie said the other day that met office expect it head to head south towards portugal.

Doubt ill see much in weather free blackburn.

Snow to the north, snow to south, and snow to the east of us...what a pathetic state of affairs,beyond any doubt we live in the worst weather location in a country thats crap for weather anyway....i despair sometimes i really do. the charts pip posted earlier look good but will quite simply not happen as over a week away plus gfs precip charts are garbage.....and to round this rant off the storm is also looking rubbish now..just a bog standard low pressue system wind and rain......im gonna move to the highlands of scotland and become a hermit.

Now that tuesdays snow has gone the way of the pear(according to fergies map in mod thread) its all eyes to thursdays storm, were in the sweet spot at the moment for the strongest winds....but im sure something will turn up to deny us even this.

Really frustrating me now this winter if we cant get snow from a north westerly or cold westerly then its time to give up.....this region really is the worst in the country for snowfall.

As expected tuesday is going paps up already....hi res nmm model shows barely any snow ....cant post it im on my phone.

Looks like another let down is on the cards for tonight....same will happen tuesday aswell....yet again another crap winter beckons.

Ecm looks cold on saturday to my untrained eye....minus -8 uppers surely cold enough for snow.
