  1. Heavy snow in Gourock , starting to lie on the cars and the grass. I really thought would stay as rain , colder air must have come in.

  4. Snow here in Gourock, lying on the cars and grass but roads clear. My kids are at the windows watching it fall

  6. Good evening, well wasn't expecting it but we have had wee snaw shower there and now have a wee dusting Am I allowed to get excited yet! I introduced my 4 year old to lamp post watching

  9. Howdy What a change from start of the week gone from 10 down to 1 , very misty too ! Not sure we will get the snaw on the clyde, but to the east coasters fingers crossed !
  10. I would love a wee heavy! Been off the booze since the 18th December when I tumbled down hillhead station stairs and dislocated my knee! Hopefully some snow for my bday (29th) Thanks to all for keeping me smiling the MT is far to much of a roller coaster.

  12. Indeed Mr Catch, over the last few years of watching the models milder rather than cold seems to be the flip flop favoured. Though with those Very nice st Andy flip flops;) maybe cold will win. I still think will be a colder than average winter , the only doubt being the warmth of the states wihich could drive our lovely rain train ! But I have faith that come new year it will be cold and snowy (at least for a bit. ) Walk to train was fun some ice and very fine snow/hail
  13. Hello, looks like snow was v light, a wee dusting! But still good to see! I always say if the Met put out a warning, then don't expect if they don't get the snow shovel ready hopefully will get some more before the return to 6 degrees and horizontal rain
  14. Well the snow is on again ! It's all looking very white out there I think I will be skiing down the hill to get the train to work! How is everyone else getting on ?

  16. Hi fellow Scottish weather friends, beautiful day on the tail of the bank. The light at this time of year is simply stunning. Thank the maker for this thread the MT is just plain crazy at the mo , will it won't it is it 2010 ,etc Anyhow, I await the first lamppost evening Keep up the good work

  18. wow simple wow .. awesome in the old meaning of the word ... Had a failed trip to Glasgow for work . got as far as Port Glasgow before trains went off .. wandered about trying to find a bus/taxi to retreat to Gourock.. nearly got blown off my feet a few times. thankfully found taxi ,, trip back was scary the river was flowing into battery park .. and on my street someone has lost half their roof !! Everyone please stay safe and lets hope this is last the last storm for a while Cheers Craig

  21. Hello weather fans .. Not sure where this Question/Obesrvation should go ,.,, But over the last few days ,, have noticed that around Gourock/Greenock ,, that there are large amount of tree leaves are brown ! and looks like early september than early June ! Has anyone else seen this ? I am thinking it was the big Storm ,.,, as some of the trees have only one side that is brown ! other is normal ! Or was it the Ash cloud Anyhoo just thought i would share ... Here is hoping for some warm sunshine again like Friday on the menu in the not so distant future ! cheers
