  1. Indeed Mr Catch, over the last few years of watching the models milder rather than cold seems to be the flip flop favoured. Though with those Very nice st Andy flip flops;) maybe cold will win.

I still think will be a colder than average winter , the only doubt being the warmth of the states wihich could drive our lovely rain train ! But I have faith that come new year it will be cold and snowy (at least for a bit. )

Walk to train was fun some ice and very fine snow/hail :)

  2. Hi fellow Scottish weather friends, beautiful day on the tail of the bank. The light at this time of year is simply stunning.

Thank the maker for this thread the MT is just plain crazy at the mo , will it won't it is it 2010 ,etc

Anyhow, I await the first lamppost evening :)

    Keep up the good work

  3. wow simple wow .. awesome in the old meaning of the word ...

Had a failed trip to Glasgow for work . got as far as Port Glasgow before trains went off .. wandered about trying to find a bus/taxi to retreat to Gourock..

nearly got blown off my feet a few times. thankfully found taxi ,, trip back was scary the river was flowing into battery park .. and on my street someone has lost half their roof !!

Everyone please stay safe and lets hope this is last the last storm for a while

    Cheers

    Craig

  4. Hello weather fans ..

Not sure where this Question/Obesrvation should go ,.,,

But over the last few days ,, have noticed that around Gourock/Greenock ,, that there are large amount of tree leaves are brown ! and

looks like early september than early June !

Has anyone else seen this ?

I am thinking it was the big Storm ,.,, as some of the trees have only one side that is brown ! other is normal ! Or

was it the Ash cloud :)

Anyhoo just thought i would share ...

Here is hoping for some warm sunshine again like Friday on the menu in the not so distant future !

    cheers
