Perhaps the closest we got to that was December 2010. I am still of the opinion that if we are going to get our Easterly it will suddenly appear at day 5/6 in the major model operational's and then the stress will be all about orientation of the high, the strength of the flow and depth of the incoming cold.
The cold lovers amongst us deserve a break before winters end ....

The channel isles get more snow than the south east,couldn't make it up

Big build up of showers now coming in but how far they go west is anyones guess but the wind is now e/Ne so showers might go a bit further in land

still to much of a North easterly here,really need a straight easterly to get anything in Epsom.

Radar for the last hour showed nothing,think there was a problem,but now back on and there are a few showers coming in from the east that should reach Surrey so should see some snow falling and temp -0.5 so there is hope.

Clear as a bell in Epsom,wind needs to change to a easterly or there will be zilch
