Been snowing here in the south/east of sheffield for over an hour. Realy big flakes and settling nicely. This small low pressure system overnight , tracked further north over this area than anticipated SO fingers crossed for tonight ?
Developments showing up in the southwest approaches, slowly edging north northeast. The startings of tonights activity? Warm and hazy here, temp at 24'c and muggy ( lovely ).
Radar showing the heaviest rainfall is still to reach most of us, apart from those in the south west who have just enjoyed it and no doubt a much drier afternoon for them.
Post event - even the forecast temps were underplayed... A forecast max of 2'c turned out to be 4.2'c. Was a rain event all the way from early monday,it was showing 2.4'c at 8-35pm last night. Plenty of winter too come looking at the charts.
Mostly cloudy now after a sunny start . Max temp of 6'c , though dropping away now , dewpoints also lowering just in time for the approaching snowfest , now at 1.9'c .
