  1. This used to be a weather related forum, all gone down the pan i see.
  2. Yep, perfect summer day, as is usual for east kent of course.
  3. Off topic. Look at the gigantic MCS over south and central France. Its almost the size of England i reckon, and full off lightning. Probably heading for Hamburg like most of the serious storms do,
  4. I hate to nit pick John, but its a north-northeast or northeasterly tomorrow according to those charts.
  5. OMFG Theres a violenty severe patch of clear sky over the Chertsey area. Look out peeps!
  6. What a belter! Must be like the storms that hit Thorpe park all the time (epic)
  7. Rather sad 18c now. Certainly was a 1 day heatwave, This is a normal 4am temp for the `Riviera`
  8. Temperature at Heraklion on the lovely island of Crete in the east Mediterranean was 25 c at 4am local time. It reminds me of the 2 mad holidays i spent in Malia (also Crete) 8 and 14 years ago. You cant forget those hot and dry nights and cheap piis, once youve been there.
  9. Temp has actually risen a bit on the Kentish Riviera. Back up to 23c. pretty good for 2.35 am,
  10. Ok fellow southeastern and east anglian people. Ive been a long time lurker since about 2004/2005, Only recently have i polluted the Bandwidth with my sometimes absurd comments. The point im trying to make is how brilliant this south east and anglia forum is for local reports re snow and other interesting weather. Anyway its now only 21c outside here, so the heat is over.
  11. Hey sheeps. I was on about the peeps who had doors and windows open all day, letting in those 33.c temps in London and north kent, and essex and suffolk and cam... ah well fookem, I might go sleep on the north downs, 10 minutes walk away to watch the lightning over Dieppe. "Twice a week" Id be happy with that.
  12. 23c outside. 24 inside. The normal balance is restored. commence the mass window opening session in southern England. ok
  13. Hello mate. The wind has been blowing from the southeasterly direction all day. Even the south Kent coast beat 30/31. Incredible stuff for this coast with the onshore wind. Temps were still at 27c at 10pm, but now theyve plunged to 23c at 23 57.
  14. You left the windows of your place open during the day? oh dear
  15. If on a bike, keep your feet on the pedals- dont touch the ground. Better still just sit in a car away from any exploding trees.
  16. I was crapping myself during my paper round. I didnt like and still dont like being out when theres big lightning.
  17. 27c at 8.45 in Folkestone? sheet the bed! Thats like being back in Malia on Crete when I was a youf on holiday.
  18. Im glad I kept the windows shut today. Its kept the temperature indoors at 23c, so wont be too hot for sleeping. I hope you people in the london area kept your windows shut or it will be like Miami beach in bed tonight.
  19. Yea I remember that. August 12th I think. I was a 17 year old boy living in Hythe at the time. It was the most spectacular rain and lightning ive ever seen. It started about 8am which was strange, and lasted 4 hours. Even more strange was the fact it happened in a spell of quite chilly weather.
  20. Capel le Ferne on top of a 470 foot cliff reaches 29.2c, Folkestone reaches between 30.1 near the coast to at least 31c in the north of the town. Langdon bay radar reaches at least 28c and Brighton apparently reaches 30c. All with a wind gusting at about 20mph straight off the sea. Its sensational. You inland folk probably wont appreciate what im talking about.
  21. Thats what I thought. See my post on previous page.
  22. Oops didnt realise last monday was in contention. I know it was hot, but I wasnt in touch with any data. Damn good storm that night wasnt it?
  23. 28c at Langdon Bay Radar site at 4pm. Thats quite rare, So must be 31c here.
