  1. Looks like those NE of the Pennines will do the best out of today, I'm too west by the looks of it.
  2. Showers kicking off over the Pennines - looks spot on for what Metoffice is predicting in their precipitation forecast so far.
  3. Been a lovely day here, lots of sunshine, but a very stiff wind. Showers have done what I thought so far today, and been prevalent in the S and SW and progressively isolated and weaker further N and E.
  4. I think it'll be Wales/SW and Southern England that will get the thundery showers, the rest of us having heavy showers.
  5. Looks like all the energy has been wasted over the N Sea this evening.
  6. Seems like convective stuff is going off behind this front, it's 15C here, mostly cloudy skies. Next few hours are critical now.
  7. Today could see a possibility of thunderyness in the west? Although the sun this morning has now given way to cloudy skies.
  8. Hefty shower just gone up north of here, just been watching it drink up the moisture through a straw!
  9. MetO keep putting our risk of a shower/storm later and later, gone from 4pm to 8pm now. Big drops been falling, just not warm enough!
  10. No sunny spells here, but the sky to my south looks really ominous.
  11. I'm gutted! Last 2 Monday's I've been down in Abingdon/Reading/Aldermaston, and had beautiful weather, and I miss this humdinger this week!
  12. Glorious morning here, felt much warmer than the last few days, though a little humid. A slight breeze has picked up and apart from a few ac cas (I think) it's a lovely morning. Possibility here of a thundery downpour later, but I reckon the chance is less than 5%.
  13. Estofex have central UK under a 15% risk of lightning for tomorrow. I'll take that over nothing. Cape and LI look lower tomorrow than earlier, at around 700j/kg and -1 respectively, compared to around 900j/kg and -3 earlier.
  14. Definitely the eastern part of the band with any sort of energy left in it.
  15. The eastern side of the front hasn't materialised as it should (by now), but is now just heavy rain with the odd flicker mixed in. EDIT: The track seem to be NWwards (the rain) while the front moves NE, but by the time it gets to NW England, it'll all be in N Ireland and the Irish Sea UNLESS there is development on the eastern side.
  16. Looks like things are setting off on its eastern edge, exactly what we need!
  17. Northern Ireland seem in prime spot tonight. Amazing for end of March, fingers crossed I might have something in a good few hours!
  18. Moisture needs to throw something up around Worcester for mainland England to have something interesting out of this.
  19. Slightly concerned that the storms will be out in the Irish Sea after passing over Wales, and just some heavy rain here, still feels muggy, but a breeze has now picked up, but the band must pep up in the east if midlands/NW England areas in the warning are to get a soaking!
  20. Metoffice yellow warning for rain for showers and thunderstorms this evening for our neck of the woods!
  21. Metoffice yellow warning for rain for showers and thunderstorms this evening! EDIT: NW England and NW Midlands.
  22. Expecting some heavy showers here around 10-11pm tonight, would be great to see lightning too, especially as I have a clear view looking south from my window!
