The odd shower now forming in northen england and intensifiying rapidly hope this could be the start of a interesting afternoon

cloud begining to bubble up here now i dont think it will be long before the showers get going up here, they wont be as severe as on the south east later but i will settle for just a few flashes

All looks to far north for me anybody no if there is a chance of anything developing abit further south than were the showers currently are?

no nothing here i no what you mean about the humidity cant stop sweating, feels like there should be a storm but nothing doing according to the radar for my region. Just missed out on a storm earlier as it passed to the north by 25 miles or so. Looks good for tomorow

Clear blue skies here temp already 21.7 degrees at 10.00am cant quite believe that but ive double checked, could be the warmest day here for quite some time if the sky stays clear.

All the ingrediants are there for later today 1000 plus cape -4 lift and a very moist atmosphere, never seen so much potential for my area although the experts are saying they will be fairly isolated thunderstoms if they occur, if the are within 50 miles or so i will be chasing good luck all

Good looking shower coming towards me now and looks to be intensifiying as it gets closer,should hit within the next 15 mins hopefully wont be a letdown

Yes looks like the outcome will be the same here, had a bit of hail and some heavy rain but that was about it or well there is always another day

Looks like i could be right in the firing line for that cluster of storms heading north east at the moment, will update when the hit in the next half hour or so.

Such a shame if Rob goes he is the only forcaster that doesnot not treat snow like it is the end of the world,also he provides substance in his forecasts and has a real passion for weather which is shared by us all on netweather. Hope the beeb have a rethink

Is it just me or are the cluster of storms over the newcastle area moving south? The skies look promising to my north but then again they have looked promising all afternoon and have only had 1 moderate shower.

Some decent shower activity here now,not thundery as yet but there is still a good few hours to go before i give up on today. Also there is not a breath of wind which feels very strange, any showers that pass here will be very slow moving.

Well ive just been able to come back online after a power cut, we had torrential rain thunder and lightning it only lasted about 5 mins but the best for my area by a distance for some time and i have a feeling as the cold front slowly moves east the fun and games should really get going.
As a type another beefy shower is falling not sure if this one will go electric thow:drinks:

I can really see things kicking off for NE England this evening, unfortunately it looks like its all happening too far west for me
That is my fear that i will be to far east, but i agree i think its all going to go bang up here in the next few hours witch makes a pleasent change i might add.

What looked like an impressive storm to the east of Darlington 40 mins ago fizzled out after some rumbles and one inner cloud flash:wallbash:
The sky had gone pinky yellow and it was lined up to be a cracker, then it just disappeared, not a drop of rain!
We had nothing earlier down here, it was quite dark looking north into Durham and beyond from about 5pm,the temperature in Darlington had risen to 25c by 16.00, more than I thought we would get, Tomorrow could be very interesting, its mega humid at the moment. Time for a beer or several and Glastonbury on the telly!Cheers!

Currently 6 degres here,feels alot warmer in the sun,very little wind a really pleasent day cant remember the last time i thought that
.Goin to the sea front now for high tide to see if it comes over the esplanade again,not as much wind today but there a still some decent swells so with the high tides theres every chance. -
It really is cold today just walked the dog along the beach and when theres a gust of wind feels like it goes stright threw you, looks like it will be mainly sleet for me on the coast with the wind coming off the sea will just raise the tempertures enough to be the wrong side of marginal. Or well cant moan seen more snow this year than anyover i can remember at sea level.

its now turned from light snow to light rain.
same here in redcar the snow has now turned to rain,think it was a case off bad timing if the front had moved in overnight could have had a few cms,looking marginal for the rest off the week for the snow prospects for us

Snowing very lightly now in redcar its going to need to get alot more heavy to amount to anything,but i am just pleased that it is snow falling from the sky at the moment

First signs on the radar that the band of precip is starting to split and weaken as is croses the pennines it often does this lets hope it peps back up again as it heads northeastwards
