danm It’s unbelievable that this could be the warmest May nationwide when it’s been so dire here again struggling at 11 Celsius
North east England might as well be in Greenland as it doesn’t compare whatsoever to the rest of the UK
I have never been able to find out what data the met use for our area, it used to be loftus I think,If anyone has a link to what stations they use I would appreciate the link

Absolutely dire here as it has been for a while. Currently 5.7 Celsius at 13.24pm on April the 28th . It doesn’t get any worse and of course it’s raining with some sleet mixed in earlier
can only get better

It’s actually sleeting here at the moment. If any metric from the met shows this month above average here I honestly don’t know what data there using
-
Wow I thought the CET would be below average haven’t checked all month. Been well below average up here recently struggling to get to 10 Celsius for the last couple of weeks and had some cold nights even some patchy frosts on the coast which we struggle to get in mid winter some years

Ali1977 I just think it’s been a frustrating winter Ali the vortex has been weak for long periods and we have fallen at the final hurdle time after time
Scandinavia has had a very cold winter we just haven’t been able to tap into it

Or look it’s raining again. I’m sure this was forecast to stay out in the North Sea
-
Sleet now here in the heavier bursts
-
Phil Blake Scandinavia has been colder than average for the majority of winter we have been close to tapping in on many occasions just not our year so far
-
Boro Snow never going to snow without heavy precipitation today
-
Will definitely turn to snow if it gets heavy later on but probably just wet snow at low levels
-
Not far of a easterly here on the GFS although can’t see much cold air to tap in to at the moment

Phil Blake Agree Phil started off ok but the constant wind has made this an awful winter. If we can’t have the beast then roll on them warm spring days

nick sussex There was a time when the UKMO at day 4 was concrete. Not any more it seems

I’d be amazed if any low levels saw anything better than wet snow from this to be honest. Love to be wrong

Decent covering here enough for a snow ball fight but only just
About 3 miles of a pasting. If only the wind had gone north easterly
East Cleveland looks the sweet spot
