Decided Redcar was a bust so drove up to Guisborough for my snow fix

Nothing here think every shower has managed to miss so far

Snow will get down to see level just need the showers to hit now. No chance of rain with -4 dew points, currently just above freezing so that’s why lower areas seeing rain

Dew points now dropping away nicely after the warm sector has passed through. Should be snow that falls apart from right on the coastline from now on

Around 10ish onwards is our best bet tonight that’s when the coldest air of this spell arrives and for a change the wind turns to a north easterly

Yes wind starting to turn more to the north as the low pulls away. Got my eye on that clump just up the coast

To me it’s the opposite of what they’ve put and the coastal regions getting all the showers. 

The wind is still slightly north west so showers will clip coastal areas but probably not settle. Wind direction starts to change from now so showers will get further inland

The stupid wind direction that this region always gets means as soon as it heads here it goes back out to sea… 

Not going to be a issue for much longer , wind north easterly next few days

Wouldn’t rule out a dusting at least away from immediate coasts tonight
