The snow isn't falling fast enough to breach that, so they are probably thinking it's well within the threshold of the warning and doesn't need updating.

Got a good covering now. All roads covered in snow and turning very tricky just outside Wolvo.

JCB going up and down my lane. Must be a few drifts blocking parts of the lane where snow has gathered. Really weird seeing thin layers of snow then deep drift all of a sudden.

Is the Midlands still on for a pounding later? Any idea what sort of time the snow may start to effect us?

I am pretty sure it is the mass of precip out to our west that moves back East. The forecast I saw yesterday seemed to show this.

Hang on. Look at all those huge showers on South Coast heading this way! Could that be the heavy showers met are on about? If they keep intensity and the right direction some parts could get a good covering from those.

Pretty disappointing round here to be honest. Radar looks like all the good stuff has gone West and quite a bit of the midlands left with crappy snow grains. Cant see much more coming tonight now. Hope tomorrow will be better as the snow just hasnt been thick enough here for a proper dumping.

Midlands Today forecast earlier seemed pretty convinced a decent area of the Midlands will get a good covering from 4pm onwards, especially the West Midlands.

Totally gutted. Looks like this whole cold spell will be an absolute let down for quite a few of us in the Midlands. The rain will of course barrel through when the mild crap returns. Game over.
