SLGT Risk for Day 3 (Mon 21 Feb) across the Arklatex for severe weather, and then a Day 4 15% risk further East from that. Things beginning to spring (literally) back into life. Here's hoping we can get stateside this year!

Torrential rain passing through Macclesfield at the moment, but no thunder. TheHundred cricket on Tuesday, so could do with this clearing off now if it's not going to give us a good lightning show!

Yeah pretty much the same here. Hoping whatever is fuelling the downpours will fuel some storms later when it’s hopefully a bit warmer.
Some of the heaviest rain I've ever driven in. Absolutely blinding.

Another flash couple of mins ago SE Leek way, absolutely throwing it down now. Wow.
Torrential rain for 5 mins or so. Lightning seems to have stopped now. No thunder at all. How strange!

Lightning South and North of me now. Leek cell and Bolton cell seem to be sparking around once a minute high in the anvil.

Lightning on the Stoke cell now. Can just see the anvil lit up white above the lower clouds. No lightning here yet.

I was going to be parked somewhere around Ashbourne by now but looking out the window to the mist & murk I decided to get a few more hours of sleep instead (it was surprisingly humid last night even with the window open.) Forecasts still show a lot of uncertainty with a blanket yellow-warning over the majority of England although Lincs/Norfolk and the Midlands are tending to be the more favorable of locations for this afternoon, so for now i'll be staying put and making a move if anything decides to spark locally.
Same here. Might have a play out on the cheshire plains later or south towards stafford

Towers going up way off to the South and South West of Macclesfield. Could be a heavy shower and a rumble later!

Webcam in Mierlo-Hout near Helmond is starting to get lightning on it now!
-
Heavy showers over Telford moving our way and bubbling Cb clouds in Macc still here. Maybe a midnight downpour!

Looks like the formation of another trough next week and Dixie Alley could get another round. Looking forward to the days where it's not in the jungles! Nice Kansas stovepipe in long grassy fields please!

Looks like a few good chances this weekend. SLGT Risk Friday and Saturday, with 2% tornado risk across TX/OK Friday, gradually moving East this weekend. Wish I was there! Hopefully there will be streaming around.

Moderate snow in Macclesfield now and already a couple of CM and wind making it drift and swirl around a lot.

Continuously light flakes all day here in Macc. 0 accumulation, but just odd stops and starts of snowflakes on my morning run this morning, and still now even.
As someone who can take or leave snow, but happily will have it if it does snow, I am surprised at how dry everything is, that wind is stripping the moisture out of everything, and my worry always when snow melts and re-freezes into sheets of ice, doesn't feel like its about to happen. Big fan of this cold dry air, would be lovely to get some snow going now!

Looked like a fairly big one that, sad to hear of at least 1 death already.
Tonight shows another MRGL Risk around NE Oklahoma, with a 2% tornado risk. At the moment not so much as a Severe Thunderstorm Warning. Fingers crossed for a less destructive night, than last week!
Mike.
