  1. If it is covered in snow (particularly the signal collector or whatever it's called) then possible. I had to go dust ours off after heavy snow in the past.

EDIT. LNB is the name then!

My Sky used to go off in heavy snow too, sometimes even rain, it should come back on, if not, clean any snow off the LNB

  2. I honestly can't find one that says we opted out, but on the MO website it says it is run 'in association with the Department of Health', so I'd assume with devolution and all that this would only apply to England? I don't see why it doesn't mind you, I mean the map already has us on it, all they'd need to do would be to colour it in every so often.

    Just noticed this.

A Cold Weather Health Watch system operates in England from the 1 November to 31 March every year, in association with the Department of Health.

  3. An undercut is a low pressure system that goes 'under' a block of high pressure. Usually it means that an atlantic low pressure system goes beneath a cold high pressure system in Siberia/Scandinavia. This 'undercut' means the UK is on top of the low pressure system, and usually in the colder continental air

Cheers, so the warmer air sinks then.
