  1. Here is a couple of stills from Fridays storm day

The line of storm looked like they developed around the Seven valley and travelled to the E

Reported by Gord in Wordsley, travelling over Blizzard nr Stourbridge and crossing into W Birmingham over Warley Woods

They then crossed close to the W of the city centre and on to the E of Barr Beacon on to the communication towers at Sutton Coldfield

Ive tracked the storm on a time lapse and are still trying to process the 5000 odd frames( which is taking the computing power of a small country :wallbash: )

....But I`ll get there and share, sometime this week :pardon:

  2. Generally light to moderate showers only today and pretty boring. Tomorrow looks similar, perhaps a slightly higher storm risk here but it seems the action keeps starting North and East of here.

Managed to catch all of that boringness on time lapse so my cameras pointing East at the moment

the cells heading up the M5 took the more scenic route to the south of Brum ( avoiding the junction to the M6 no doubt  )

    Always tomorrow :pardon:

  3. Dont quiet no what i`ve filmed here.....but it may be of interest to the peeps who were discussing the different directions of the clouds at various levels

It looks to me as the upper level clouds are rolling over the top of the lower southerly travelling lower clouds? this was taken this afternoon looking out West from Birmingham above the route of the M5

be interested to here opinions on whether this was influenced by any inflow/ outflow from the storms to our East :pardon:

  4. The near static cold front spawned some weak storms through the West Midlands late yesterday evening until after midnight, however they were NW of Brum so not near Cov.

Can confirm we had half a dozen CC flashes and some load thunder from 12.20am :pardon:

this cell travelled up the M5 and was pointed out by Blizzards as 1 of 2 cells intensifying down by Hereford/Worc border

unfortunately for me it came directly overhead so capturing it through a half open window (slightly tilted downwards to allow the gathered rain to fall out as opposed to in :wallbash: ) was difficult

so i really had to hope for a nice CG over the city :pardon:

    close but no cigar
