Great captures LeeKay Brilliant storm, certainly the best since we’ve been in the air Although never overhead it broke all around us giving me a cracking view as it developed. Based in a tower block in Harborne this gives us a panoramic view to the Northern side of Birmingham, in an arc around from Wolverhampton in the West to Nuneaton in the East. I took a few time-lapses as the day went on and have will order them in a timeline of the days events from our viewpoint. I was thinking today how amazing it would have been to have been on top of Beacon hill while the storm was raging across the region... nothing to obscure the view and being able to view lightning stretching across the entire sky! Spot on observations W09 and your forecasts before yesterday's event I managed to time-lapse the moment of collision, pretty much over the centre of the city which show a few brief funnel clouds Filmed through a haze of aphids which were swarming in biblical proportions (They must have read the charts - funny how they always know when there's a storm about ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ls2KLw0vl0U edit. how do you get the video directly on to the page???

A couple of towers building to the W of me - with your name on... and looking a bit haily.... also watching that cell disapear to the NW of us- building all the time I have just over 2000 images to check to see if i caught any of that lightening from that cell (I'm encoraged now you've confirmed lightening. My camera was pointing youre way ) Well see what the M5 brings us later on
