yes caught these aswell at the time you did....and have just checked the IR sat and these did not show up either

It was a strange one in Birmingham this morning I witnessed a set clouds that i have never seen before Firstly the speed at which they appeared the disappeared 13 Mins They came out of a clear sky ( stars were visible) Clear on SAT radar over the Midlands at the time They appeared to be travelling Southwards ( so not like any NLC`s that i know about ) There was some chat in the facebook forum about what was being picked by the OSWIN radars, which is within a few degrees latitude of Birmingham Opinions Welcome timelapse 13 mins over 27" 28mm 4".....4" @ f5.6 ISO 320 ( No visual enhancements)

Wispy Yep...A bit of a frustrating night/ morning for the UK....apart from a faint early showing to the NNW in the evening... . Once the cloud moved in and we lost site of the stars...game over Although looking at the photo`s from northern Europe there was obviously a large display taking place Around nautical twilight time around 2.45am when the morning light starts encroaching it begins to get very tempting...and has caught me out a few times.....rule of thumb. no stars no NLC`s then throw some wispy lower cloud into the mix and it does make for a very inconclusive images (Fools Gold) So frustrating... but happy that there was a good display for some Another cloudy night forcast..but the radars are still indicating strong signals......so im sure our time will come again Norway radar 70° latitude.. Baltic radar 54° latitude

yep lasted about 15 mins before being clouded out...might have to wait until 2 or 3 oclock still

Latest AIM & radar from Norway (Baltic radar still glitched up) relativley clear skies atm....so looking good

Indeed Rob....if only for a clear night....which looking at the forecasts we may have a clearer Evening/ Morning for the overnight period I`m encouraged by the latest radar signals from both the Norwegian radar and for the first time this season the Baltic radar which are picking up signals at there specific latitudes Norwegian radar at picking up signals at 69° latitude And the Baltic radar picking up signals at 54° latitude this morning were it seemed to 'glitch out'
