What do u think for our chances? Nothing yet in Shanklin just want some laying snow ???? Knowing our luck it’ll be nothing ??? any idea what time we may get any? ?❄️

From about 4pm onwards we will see some heavy snow - and it is likely to last into the night.  Then we may well have another band of snow tomorrow afternoon.

Keep the faith it was always forecast to be late Thursday afternoon!! Things are looking very promising and you should get it at Shanklin before me in Newport so keep us updated as to when it arrives!!

I note that the 500 hPa (18,000ft)  is now a Northerly bringing in Scandinavian air across the east as I speak. This is bringing in moist air in the form of high cirrus cloud and possibly altostratus. As a result temperatures are starting to rise in the North East of the country. There is a small block or precip' just off the N.E coast which is falling as rain at present. I also note that temperatures are starting to rise in the far South West (plus 5 being recorded) as the active front which will possibly produce the low pressure area on Tuesday moves ever closer to the west of us. No wonder the forecasters are struggling with a confirmed outcome. Even Tuesday might show variations for Thursday!

Quite clearly on the wind up, don't feed the troll and make use of the ignore user button!

I notice you have been looking on the thread and have not replied to people who have disproved what you are saying, any reason for this or are you purposely on the wind up?!?

I did tell my elderly parents to be ready for some very very cold weather  as they do their shopping once a week tomorrow, that’s ok though isn’t it? Mind you Dad was like” we saw 62 and 63 ..” it’ll be fine.

Yes definitely! Although as excited we all are with the prospects of this cold weather the elderly and vulnerable certainly need to be ready and looked after, even if it is half as bad as expected it will be a torrid time for some. I will certainly go and see some of my vulnerable neighbours to see if I can he play.

Also don't forget to feed the birds! It will be tough for them as well!
