Two massively different things.
Explain to me, how does one try to complete a theory, that, and let's be honest, failed. And, trying to do so without all of the information to begin with?
The website got terminated and the whole thing went in to obscurity.
The resurrection of this thread is just for a laugh, nothing else.
But why shoot someone down before they have even had chance to put their thoughts in practice.
You may well be right with your thoughts but at least give a person a chance to at least have a go at their idea.
i just think we are too quick to jump on people - but then that is the nature of this country at the moment - too quick to put people down and not have reasoned discussions.

Fair play for having a crack Feb! Whats wrong with someone putting their thoughts and theories in practice?
Don’t know why people are happy to shoot people down in flames without giving them a chance, so what if it doesn’t work out no harm in trying and we should not stifle them from trying.
Some on here need to take a minute to think what they say.
Good luck Feb, hope you are willing to post your thoughts.

Not sure where to put this? Seems as good as place as any, a really interesting article on NASA website about the solar minimum. Would be interested in people’s thoughts and@BLAST FROM THE PAST.

Glad the day is over, for me nothing worse than hot sunny weather, I know I am in the minority but I really do dislike days like today. Only 27.9 reached here on the IOW - wish it was lower but hey ho!
-
It’s days like today I yearn for the darker evenings and cooler days, most people have been happy as Larry today whereas I have been a miserable sow and sow, I didn’t realise how much I disliked long warm days until I was diagnosed with depression a couple of years ago and these sunny days depress me more. I know I am in the minority but my moods are very down at the moment.
A plus though it is now pretty much dark at 2035 now and signs the weather will be turning more Autumnal !

Must be time to start a new thread for this one?

Certainly noticeable now sunset at 2040 and last light at 2120. I do feel for those who suffer from SAD, as I suffer the reverse, the long warm days I find very depressing and can’t wait for the darker evenings.
I yearn for the Autumn colours, scrumping for Apples chestnuts , the first frost, the stunning light and the sun sets that accompany it, the rough sea (especially nice here on the IOW)

The Northern Route opened about a week ago. The Northwest Passage looks like it should open in a week or two to non-ice class vessels, though recent very warm weather there is moving on. The first significant snows of the season are expected to come through from Alaska early next week so the melt rate which is already slowing sharply could grind to a halt next week.

Thanks for your updates on this thread Aleman, it’s much appreciated!

Sunset is 21.08 and last light 21.50! It soon catches up and soon it will be 20.00 can’t wait! Really not looking forward to the potential heat next week my worst nightmare.
still won’t be long until the Snow and Ice in the Northern Hemisphere thread and the winter thread open, roll on October

Nights drawing in slightly Now 2145 and it is pretty much dark. I for one am getting fed up with this incessant humid and dry weather. I know I am in the minority here but this weather actually depresses me. As soon as we hit September my mood begins to change.
Give it a month and it will be getting dark before 2100 and I can’t wait!

Yes a bit depressing in here tonight, nobody should put faith in these seasonal model forecasts, we can’t predict what the weather will be like in 5 days let alone 3 months. Yes they can pick up on trends, I for one won’t put much confidence in them, they are about as reliable as the Daily Express winter posts and probably as likely.
Far too early to have any confidence of how our winter will turn out, let’s enjoy Autumn and then worry about Winter, as they say the weather will be what the weather will be.
