  1. Definitely, it's a continuous line, the view out of my window west and north is stunning with the sun now out, cells lit up all around.
  2. I'm in Edenthorpe, there's some heavy rain headed your way any minute I would think. Gusty winds with it too. Been watching cells SW-NE for the last hour or two passing just West of here, this one has got us, no thunder though.
  3. Impressive rainfall from the cell over us at the moment, just one distant rumble heard but bar that very messy in structure.
  4. You should have a heavy shower inbound soon, just getting the first one of the day here, I'm not far from Thorne, very big drops. Sprung up from nowhere. Sucls that I'm stuck in recovering from surgery
  5. I will be an hour Still at work, where we've just had a real heavy one go over us in Normanton.
  6. Well it's thoroughly miserable today just outside Leeds, really dark outside yet nothing seems to be happening.
  7. Amazing really, a couple of days a go the Don was at a very low point, today it was over its sides at Thorpe Marsh for the first time this autumn/winter/spring. It usually happens often. I expect a lot of run off and heavy rain has caused that.
  8. It's raining but not getting rid of the existing snow, which is frustrating as I can't get back to running on slippy pavements. I hate in between, either heavy snow or rain please. IN all seriousness, the METO are still confident of snow in our area so I expect as the night wears on a bit we will see some later, which was what was forecast really.
  9. No snow here in Normanton, it's got close a few times but still sleet/rain. Off home soon, be good to get something on the way home.
  10. Looking at that it's a fair assumption that Tuesday won't be the greatest day for a meeting in Southampton that I'll be flying down to. In the words of Balotelli - "Why always me?" On yesterday's stormy weather my Aunt had power losses up in Argyle but did get her electric back yesterday evening, which is good news. She lives out in Tarbert on the west coast alone and is in her 70s so we were a bit concerned. She described it as like a Typhoon (she used to live in Hong Kong) and not pleasant but made the day interesting. Bless her.
  11. Unbelieveable weather on the drive home tonight. Lots of CGs ridiclously heavy rain, strong winds the lot. Really enjoyable if a bit scary (had to pull over on the motorway as did many others).
  12. Lots of cells popping up in South Yorkshire now. One just popped up over me at work in Normanton, loud thunder and heavy rain bouncing off the office roof. 30 mins and I'm out of here
  13. Came through here also, the rain was incredible. Waterlogged grass easily (I was playing football absolutely drenched).
  14. Well given how dark it's coming I'd be optimistic, unbelieveable how it's gone from bright to extremely dark.
  15. Could hear the thunder, but didn't have any hail from it, could see something was falling somewhere but nothing here, very small and isolated it was.
  16. Big rain now, huge raindrops. perhaps the biggest raindrops of the year.
  17. Well it's looked promising here in Doncaster but seems to be going around me on the East of town at the moment, plenty of friends etc over the other side of town had some thunder but all quiet here at the moment (bar the large wind increase).
