The South of Ireland also had the beast last year. @Rocheydub The Dublin snow shield was completely smashed. Should't really matter about population. We are all on the hunt for cold. Not just the south.

That front pushing north on Thursday looks interesting and if it stalls over us then we will hit the jackpot. Of course it will change next runs.

Automate forecasts change about 50 times a day. Currently showing snow showers or or heavy snow for Derry on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. I really thing we are on the verge of something special this week. The will be a few sweet spots as well. @Sperrin

I really like the sound of that week ahead forecast!! Could be some real dumpings of snow around midweek. 18's rolling out so fingers crossed for some upgrades. BTW The week ahead forecast mentions nothing about a mild end!

It's that slider that's sickening me!! Lol. It's position will change again but last year we missed out so many times due to sliders drifting further south than originally forecast. Yesterday it was right over us!!

Am actually a bit excited after just reading through 7 pages on the Banter page but definitely caution is needed. We can celebrate with the PUB run tonight if it all still looks the same. Also the 27th has been mentioned for some time as the start of a cold spell?? Maybe I am wrong?

Aye it seems to be the norm now when an Easterly isn't showing. Still plenty of time for things to upgrade or go t*ts up regarding the next cold blast thus weekend.

Completely confused by some of the comments in the Model Banter Thread. Some people should just refrain from commenting. As far as I can see things look great for us and Sunday/Monday/Tuesday looking cold and possibly very snowy?
