Due to fly to Iceland on the 16th March(which won't happen) but looking at those charts then I think Scotland could be on be in the cards if we are able to travel. That's a proper winter storm that the highlands will be getting. I don't think we will see much here if any. -
Precip charts look even better for us this morning if they are to be believed but this is now within 60+ hours. Lots of snow chances and look at this for midweek with the cold wrapping around that low. I really hope this comes off for all of you in the East. Just a slight shift West and we would all be buried. Lol

I really hope you are right. We could all be doing with a little bit of fun during lockdown.

They probably won't pan out the way they are showing but the GFS precip charts look so good for snow layer next week and in to the following week but take with a pinch of salt and all that. All I know is that we are entering a very interesting period of weather and a wee storm midweek.

Day 2 not worth looking at to be honest What a roller-coaster this is all turning out to be but as you say get the cold in place then who knows where this is all going. Plenty of ups and downs to come over the weekend but I have a good feeling that we will get our cold and snow soon enough.

I have a real good feeling about all this. What really does my head in is people in the model thread throwing the toys out in the early stages of each run that comes out. I think we are nearly at the stage where a colder spell is nailed on.

Let's hope so MS. We really need a good cold spell and a good dumping of snow. If it does all fall in to place then it will happen in the best part of winter. Fingers and toes all crossed.

Minds me of the good old days growing up. You knew when the snow melted it wouldn't be too long before the next cold spell would be here. A slight dusting here this morning.

I am pretty hopeful for a few cms tonight. Think I'll take a run to some higher ground tomorrow morning for a good walk in the snow

Love seeing these big showers coming in from the North. This one just passing East of Derry now.

Showers starting to pack in from the North now but it's just now cold enough for snow yet. Need the sun to dissappear. Maybe have a chance then
