    It will be on the fylde coastline in kess than an hour at the rate its moving. Also worth noting that the low centre is moving up into the jrish sea also as per @backtrack mentioning it the other day

    Merseyside and haltin both have yellow warnings. shud it not be amber if their forcasting 12+hrs of snow

    Snow shadow effect is where mountains or big hills stop snow falling on the opposite side to the direction the snow is coming from. As the clouds rise above the mountain or hill it dumps fast but then coming back down the ither side it stops dumping and the effect is snow shadow effect

    00z NMM looks good for all of us. Initially falls as snow north of the mersey. It shiws sleet after that for anyone aouth if morcamb bay

    look at my last post a few pages back. I mentioned that we are getting that that is now near cornwall. There is a mini low that is driving that up to us. Look at 12z nmmIt then coincides with the front over ireland and intensifies

    12z nmm has this shortwave also. It also shows that the bulk of our snow tomoz comes from this shortwave. Starts moving up towards us tomorrow morning. And by 17:00 ppn is over the mersey. Itbhas it as snow/rain mix. It also merges with what is coming from the west. The ppn from the west dies before hitting IOM but looks to be invigorated by the shortwave coming from the SW

    If the 00z is an upgrade, im the king or urdu! TBF it does show snow/sleet up to the m57 and that more than covers st helens up to knowsley which is about 5miles inland

    i can make snowballs from the freezer. I hope we domt get that little. I just looked at the 12z GFS and that showed a huge downgrade. Nothing after the first front, and this front falls as rain untill midnight and then for few hrs jts sleet onncoastal areas past the m6 corridoor

    nope not really, started sticking in the heavier burst but then not, now looks like it been raining looks like tues-wed off now too
