Overtime shift tonight. I will be having a good drive around, drunks permitting that is, 'tis the weekend
-
It would now seem the the band is moving into the NE and Yorkshire, whilst still pulling from the coast as well.
Meteo Group radar predicts that by 18:00 we will be fully on the good stuff......unless the tack changes, which I doubt :-)
-
What radar sites do you folks use ?
-
Feel asleep for hour n half and still nothing..
We just did get a few flakes .I mean just very few. So disappointed right now but nothing we can do about the weather .
I'm going to get in my car and have a drive about...lol
-
Just been in the welsh page, they are getting the good stuff as we speak.
'nowt in Durham at the moment
-
Freezing fog looks like snow is falling at home. See the models have moved a bit west this morning......we shall see.

Cracking outlook Gromit
-
Pretty sure the NE will be included in the amber warning later today or tomorrow as it pushes further east !
-
The met office are forecasting snow from Friday to Sunday here!
A push further east it would seem, I think it could come across a little more as well.
-
Came home from work at 7 and the fog was rolling across the A1....busy night for my work folks possibly
-
Will take a peep tomorrow, we might just miss this ! (might)
-
Snowing now Gavin.....sunny 5 mins, cloud coming back.
-
I'm in a field near Darlington, blue ski and bright sun. Snow has gone from the trees now.
-
Snowing in Durham quite well
-
Has been snowing lightly in Newton aycliffe since about 6, only light stuff mind.
-
Snowing well in Newton Aycliffe
-
Snowing well in Aycliffe, snow starts at Junc 58 A1.....estate roads have a good covering now.
-
Now't happening tonight in my opinion.
I think the best bet as after 00:00 onwards...., rest assured 1cm of snow on the western bypass on Monday and everything will shut down.
-
A 2010 style event would deliver high totals to most areas in Darlington we got 25cm including 7cm in one night!
Aycliife would shut down...lol
-
Absolutely f**king typical that the two days I planned to go to Aviemore (Thurs, Fri) we get above avg temps!! I mean cmon!!!
GAAHAHGAHGAGAHAGAGHAHGAGHAGHAH!
Go in about three weeks, perhaps you will not need to go that far to ski.......big changes are coming I think
-
Still all to play for tbh, don't think the Atlantic has won just yet
Was reading Steve's post on the model thread, unsure why some doofus has had a pop at him. I have learned a lot from him and a good few others.
I share the downbeat side of model watching, but I see the upbeat is just around the corner.....all is not lost...just yet

A cold morning in Darlington currently -0.3°C the Dew Point is at -5.3°C grey clouds above, this afternoon and evening could be interesting here as snow looks possible rather than rain we shall see!
I think you maybe spot on with that line of thought...I wish it would wait till I'm on my rest days and a weather warning in force as well. A1 to a total stop later then
-
It was solid ice on the Western-by-pass last night, lost count of the amount of accidents I went too.
The snow melted a little, then came the cold.....and things went Pete Tong sadly
Today brings another snowfall according to the UKMO for the central part of cumbria and the dales, dare say it will move further east during the day.
....not to self, wear thermal's now for each shift
