Morning, I can't for the life of me understand why so many people are getting upset over the weather outlook We are a small island on the side of the Atlantic and we get really what we get. The forthcoming series of winter months may or may not produce the freezing sub-zero temps that most people seem to crave. A word to the wise, be careful what you wish for, my thought's are we are going to get more than we thought we would. The usual forum experts are thinking the same....but it takes time. If we tapped into the cold pool like UKMO were suggesting last week, our snowy spell would of been a "flash in the pan", let the cold pool get bigger, and the dam will break

And your right, the trends, and not the single runs have given a semi decent picture of the end of the month. Still unsure as to why folks seem to get all in a tizz over one or two runs We will have to see how the rest of the season pans out, for me I will miss it as I will be back in the desert for another session of killer heat......anyone want to swap places

As mentioned before the BOM is modeled on the UKMO I believe, with a few tweaks (aussie ones). .....it's been a mad global year for weather !!!

I had a thin layer of ice on my car 28/08/12, in North Yorkshire........that came as a shock after nights !!!

Could not agree more. This time of year my hopes of extreme weather types are raised. But, they were dashed somewhat last year. Still, all to play for and much more for me to learn and understand.....no better place to do that than here :-)
