10 mile drive from Huntingdon to Sawtry, snow falling whole way. About 5 miles of very light snow, then particularly heavy snow for about half a mile with a covering of snow, then the rest of the way no covering at all and very light snow. It was on slightly higher ground, about 45m ASL, but the showers are obviously very localised.
-
Small flakes coming down a lot heavier now, almost like hail. Showing signs of settling. Once temperatures start to drop, if the precipitation continues we should see a covering
-
Snow getting a little heavier, good to see some activity in the wash beginning.
-
Hi, its just my general five day forecast: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/sawtry#?tab=fiveDay&fcTime=1361577600 . However, looking at the rainfall map on the meto website, it just showers though, rather than constant precipitation, so the forecast's a little misleading. Dont think it will come to much.Where is that posted? Can you provide me with link please? Thanks

Met Office have got snow forecast from 9PM this evening to 3PM tomorrow afternoon, with 6 hours of heavy snow overnight. Can anyone tell me what this is about, I don't see any met warnings, are accumulations expected at all?
-
As per the last couple of days, very light snow falling through the morning. Got a little heavier in the last half an hour, but still no where close to settling.
-
Stilll very very light snow. Temperature fallen to 0.5 now. 8-10 degrees sure is going to feel warm tomorrow.
-
Yeah, was better than I had anticipated too. Agreed, the models indicating the potential for an interesting end to February, although if it doesnt snow again this winter I won't be too dissapointed, had a couple of good snowfalls this year.Yes Hughsey, same here. Really did not expect 3 and a half hours snow though today and I have just a little inkling that this may not be the last fall of this winter.

Some nice heavy snow falling now from backbuilding (not the right term but..) on the band. A last hoorah before it moves away.
-
We've managed 3 hours of snowfall here, started at about 2:30 and slowly dying away now.Well that was short lived 2/3 hours of snow? No way.. .20 - 30 mins yes lol!
Have managed to get a nice covering, may be 15 minutes or so more of light snow before its passed through, happy to have got this much as until today I didnt realise the threat existed for snow and it was never predicted to be a big snowfall for here. Temp down to 0.6 now, hopefully the snow can stick around on the ground until I go out at 7, should do.

SM Level 8. Full covering on pavements outside now. Might even say there are some 50p flakes, and main road outside is turning white.
-
Yay some 20p flakes coming down in the mix.
-
Definitely! Visibility reduced, virtually a full covering on all paths now, settling on some side roads. Lovely white seen, after so much very light snow, it all changed here very quickly. Edit: probably still a 6 here, the flakes still very small but coming down at a very high rate.Up to 7 (ish) on the SM scale!
-
HEaviest snow of the day so far ( still very small flakes), some accumulation on grass, garden furniture, roofs etc, similar to MarcBs picture, better than nothing
Edit: Pavements turning white all of a sudden
-

-
Snow very gradually getting heavier. Temp: 1.3 DP: -4.8. Snow tiny flakes coming down moderately heavily now.
-

Nothing reaching the ground here yet. Meto improved there forecast for here from dry until 6, heavy snow 6-9 then sleet 9-12, now shows light snow from 12-6, then heavy snow, then sleet. Will be keeping an eye on things now as radar showing precipitation overhead.
Current Temp: 1.3°C
High Temp Today:1.4°C at 1:01pm
Low Temp Today:-3.0°C at 6:35am
Dew Point:-5.4°C
-
Temp rising slowly, up to 1.3 degrees, dew point falling though, -4.8 apparently (not sure this is correct). Might be good for a few hours of light snow, unlikely to accumulate though,
-
A period of 3-6 hours of snow possible later today from about 4/5PM onwards I believe as the precipitation moves across the region. Temperatures will then rise overnight and it will turn to rain. I guess they are gritting to try and prevent any travel issues during rush hour this evening, as it could be snowing at about that time.I have no idea why but a gritting lorry has just gone up the main part of the road here and he was laying down quite a heavy amount of salt, am I missing something ?

Heaviest snow of the morning so far now falling, not settling, but nice to see.

Light snow coming down, temperatures falling, 0.9 currently, look like I may be reasonably well placed for a slight covering tonight. Thanks for the updates TEITS.
