So is this event likely to start as rain to snow or snow straight away? What totals are we likely to see by monday. The meto seem sketchy as too depths?

Thanks kold weather i love having reasurance from the more knowledable on here. No matter what ive got my lamposts primed for a night of watching, any snow is beta than no snow me cant wait. Got to say how mad the weather has been here last week most eventful of 2011, bit of everything and now tonights event. I was excited any way looking forward to a powerful storm and now forecast snow!, if it pans out as forecasted its a no loss situation for me. Also strangely, may just be me but it seems a lot colder now than what it normally is during these set ups and i end up with rain, so im still hoping for snow.

How are the prospects for me seeing some of the white stuff tonight guys?. Still looking good or is just a case of waiting and seeing what you get?, I hate that, would like some confirmation if possible from someone more knowledgeable than me. Dont want to be on lampost watch and be disapointed. Thanks gavin

Bit of a mixed bag here today, was a bit of a disapointment, but wasnt expecting much to be onest. Some squally winds though with the showers which were mainly a rain/hail mix quite dull really. Im hoping that low expected thur/fri will track a bit further south to allow more of us in with a chance of the white stuff?, or will it be limited to say above 200m? Thanks gavin

Hi guys, dont post often, well last winter was my last time!. Anyway nice to see some warnings over us including snow for tomorrow evening, seems to have appeared out of nowhere, surely its going to be marginal im 107m asl lol, looking forward to this week possible storms and snow I couldnt wish for more action bring it on !
