    Just seen an ad on the telly for this http://www.channel4.com/programmes/is-our-weather-getting-worse hope its got some scientific analysis in it and it isn't a Daily Mail hype type. Link no worky C4 tues 8 pm - is our weather getting wetter.

    Also the graphics stopped before the ppn got too far into the east of the region. Poss uncertainty as to what may happen? Edit. Points west fcst Hmmm dew points look high and surface temps so I am probably talking out of my xxxxx

    @gtltw Just trying to learn from you guys but the ensembles from the gfs show the 850s rising (still below 0) as the ppn comes in. Would this lead to a snow to sleety mix event or would the effect of the evaporative cooling effect (I think that's the right term for cooling with heavier bursts) keep it more snow like?     http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/precip/CWlink/pna/nao.sprd2.gif Noaa's gfs nao chart shows a recovery to neutral but not really positive for long? Apologies if im reading this wrong its quite new to me ;-)

    Does anyone know what the verification stats are at the moment with the gfs? iirc last autumn it was overcooking lows and the ecm dropped them down before the gfs did?
