  1. I was gonna start a thread on this earlier, Here the temps are down a touch on yesterdays which were about 33 degrees celcius, Now they are about 25 degrees celcius but still very humid.

I really don't think this front will make any difference to temperatures this week, In the short term they will drop behind the storms because of the downdrafts, But in to next week they will be back up in to the 30 s degrees celcius.

    Thats my opinion anyways.

What do you all think :?:

  2. I think they could well die back a bit now, Then come back with avengance around the lunchtime period as the air heats back up.

Not that it is not warm allready.

By the way, I posted this in the outher storm section, A few minutes ago a nearby lightning discharge caused a distruption in my pc making it restart itself, SO people if you have intense lightning in you're area I would advise you to unplug youre pc and any electrical equipment aswell as unpluging you're internet connection as any source to the outside could cause you're equipment to be destroyed.

  3. That cell is moving off towards manchester now and the sun is coming through.

There is anouther area of darkness out to my west now I think it's anouther cell.

I think thats the pattern we'll all see today lots of multicell storms one after anouther like thay squall line in 1992 I think it was, I belive they are called training storms in the u.s.

Never the less very unstable atmosphere, Expect some big ones today people :!: :!: :D:D

  4. Good Morning All.

    Storms here this morning :!: :!: :D

Started at 9:00 am, Very heavy rain with sheet and intra cloud lightning though the sheet lightning when the storm moved in was allmost continuous like a strobe light from the cloud WOW :!: :!: :D:D

Just saw a really big IC discharge out of my window with very loud thunder I think these things are gaining intensity now.

I will keep you all updated so long as I have power.

  5. Hi Peter Welcome To Net Weather.

I hope you enjoy you're time here.

The conditions here are looking good for some storms these next couple of days, So if you're in to them visit the storms and extreme weather section.

If you're not feel free to talk about what ever you feel like. :D

    Regards.

    Tim Birtwistle.

  6. I'm not sure what the temperature is here, But I can say that it's extremely hot - For the UK at least.

If you have those old style slates on you're house get you're hose pipe out and spray you're roof.

The water will evauporate instantly and steam off.

But please do not go climbing on to you're roof tops to tip buckets on it or anything like that if you don't have a hose.

  7. No, I think the weather is refering to nereby fronts which I personally don't think will give us any trouble.

One of the fronts will pass to the south while anouther passes to the north possibly affecting parts of scotland and northern ireland through the weekend.

  8. My area is currently covered in dense fog off the ocean which is holding temperatures back.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem :?:

I only hope it evauporates soon, It's still pretty warm and humid but there is no chance what so ever of heat thunderstorms with this hanging around.

How this fog could travel over 30 miles inland is, Well strange and kind of annoying considering that those thunderstorms did not do it the outher day.

  9. Yes we will see very warm night's with this heat.

But think as this thundery weather approaches the humidity will increase which will make it extremely sticky especially at night.

I'd better get an air conditioner :!:

Or make sure I have plenty of coffie :!: :D
