Walsall Wood Snow

That icicle on next doors guttering has grown a bit today too. Snowing pretty heavily now too. Probably won't last though, skies are already clearing.

Just started snowing again. Although last nights snow has thawed quite a lot, there is still more left than yesterday, with more snow left on the lawn, whereas yesterday it melted right up to the path. So that's a little improvement.

Another full covering this morning. It's thin though so expect it'll mostly melt during the day. Never know though could be pleasantly surprised.

Hammering it down now. Just need it to keep up now to get some depth to it.

It's settling really well, even starting to pepper the main road too.

Snowing here now. Putting down a dusting as well.

It's obviously cold out when icicles appear There's still some snow in the garden even if it's mostly on the path. The lawn next door has snow on it still though. So at least it looks fairly wintry out there if not a full on winter wonderland.

A bit of a strange one today really. Despite a good thin layer been deposited in the early hours and more or less constant flurries since then it's for the most part thawed, even on the grass. Just goes to show the set up isn't as good as late Feb/early March 2018 was. Oh well still time for that spell to be challenged. At least at this point we can say we've seen a bit of decent snow (for shorter or longer) in each of the 3 meteorological Winter months. There's not too many Winters you can say that, especially in recent years.

It's settled on side roads and is starting to cover main roads too.

It's actually gone quite heavy here all of a sudden.

Got a nice moderate flurry happening here now.

And now it's turned more to proper snow it's lighter getting sunnier again and melting. Oh well.

Heavy graupel again. Looks like it's settling better now (at least where it can without been blown off) so might bode well if we get some proper snow fall.

I'm still fairly convinced that better opportunities for this area will pop up over the next few weeks and we'll get another decent snow event at some point. I know it's been disappointing for most of us in this current spell (so far, but then it's only really just started) but like others have said at least we've already had a couple of decent events this Winter so it's not as if we've been suffering from a complete lack of decent snow at all up to this point. We've certainly had a lot worse Winters up to this point. Anyway a lucky few are doing alright today so that's good for them at least. Theres still March yet. And considering we've actually had our best snow events during that month this past decade I'd say there's still plenty of time for Winter 2020/21 to do even better than the not bad at all reputation it's already got in my eyes.

Coming down fairly heavy again here, with some fairly big fluffy looking flakes. Still won't settle on certain surfaces though like my garden patio. Think it's going to be one of those days with snow more or less constantly falling but with little to no accumulation from it, at least until much later anyway, that's if we even have the precipitation then. Saying all that it's gone lighter again now anyway. Oh and even my lawn is struggling to maintain its dusting. Not our day in this part (or much other parts) of the region for a memorable event I feel.

Got a sugar dusting here too. Snowing heavy here now though so hopefullly we can get a more substantial covering.

Just got fairly heavy here now with proper sized snowflakes.

Got a few specks of settling snow here as well. With it occasssionly blowing against my bedroom window. Hope it picks up though.

Just had a graupeley shower here a moment ago.

Got a few flakes blowing in the wind here too.

Saying that looked again and it is all snow I think. Blowing quite wildly in the strong wind. It will still have to get a bit heavier or temps to drop further soon if it's to settle though.

Seems to have got light again now and don't think it's even all snow now. Doubt I'll get a covering tonight here now really.

Snowing here but not settling at all. Not yet anyway.
