What a beautiful site ECM. If only.

Every year the models lead us up the garden path. It's part of the chase. Even the met can't forcast past seven days with any accuracy. But I believe we will get snow this winter it's well overdue.

And that just goes to show just how difficult long-range weather forecasting is then, doesn't it?
I never said it was easy ed...

All the millions of pounds the met office have and they still struggle to forecast past a week. You can get just as good forcast on here. Camping next week in devon. Not happy....

Tiny little snow flakes falling in Cheltenham. Just about visable to the naked eye.

Nobody can predict the future. Not even a computer. Winter is far from over.

Off to solden tomorrow afternoon. Conditions look very good, but the temps look bitter. Minus 20 at mid station for the start of the week anyway. Will post some pics next week.

Been reading this forum for 6 years now,no model can get the surface conditions perfectly right at day 6 or 7. Now after 6 years of reading this forum I bet they look different in the morning. Happy New year to all you model watchers.

Let's hope so. I'm going to solden on the 15th of jan. It's been absolute torture watching the models the last four weeks. Maybe some light snow to the northern alps on the weekend, not much though.

Sign this morning that the semi permanent euro high could be on the wane. Let's hope so,I'm off to solden on the 15th jan. Its looking very bare below 2000 metres. Maybe snow before Christmas. Let's pray.

Been there in 2001. The Dave Murry downhill was my favourite run. Stayed at creekside for two weeks. Will go again when the bank balance allows, stunning place.

Sleet and heavy rain here. Awful out there.

I might be in with a shout here in north glos. I doubt it through' been three years without a flake

Been reading the forum for 5 years now. I think we need to understand the models, they only show what might happen(not what will.).

No model after 10 days is that reliable, maybe 30-40% accurate if that. The ecm 10 day charts change nearly every run. So things can and will change.

The low looks quite far south to my untrained eye
