9.7 degrees, pressure 967mb... r/h in the house has dropped from 63% to 56% in an hour..?
Quite a few trees down locally but doesn't sound that bad in the house, must be sheltered in this wind direction.

Hame noo. That was tough going, blizzards and drifting on the wee roads all the way to the AWPR.. absolutely knackered. Passed the road down to Pennan, somewhere I've always wanted to visit but wasn't risking the hill. The 20% grade on the road was hairy enough . Gave up following the sat nav and just went full Colin McRae and kept moving no matter what!

Stopped on the A90 North of Ellon for a break, been some day. Getting to a remote farmhouse in Gamrie in an automatic Transit on summer tyres is taxing.. ended up in a ditch after someone drove straight at me, downhill in a 4x4 Toyota whilst I was making progress uphill.. I reversed quickly to get away from him and drpped 2 wheels off the side of the road. Still deep wet mud, surprisingly. Many thanks to the folks who helped me out with a tow. Does no one give way to cars coming uphill anymore? A fair few swear words came out

When you travelling? Worst bit today seems to have been South of Aberdeen as that's where most of the snow ended up falling. Mains roads are probaby fine when it's not actively snowing, I got from Alford to Westhill and back today no problem, just slower than normal, wife did the same to Keith and back. Off the main roads it's very variable, some are still quite snowy.
Fubar news on Facebook is good for conditions on the NE roads. I checked and there's no mention of problems towards Banff, but some snowy pictures of the A96 near Huntly. It can all change rather quickly though, for the better or for the worse.
Tomorrow morning. Had a job in Inverbervie this evening and called it off, looks like it was the right decision! Montrose /Arbroath looks like they've had a decent whumping..

Drove kirkcaldy to Turriff and back today, -1 through Fife and grey until Aberdeen. Got colder going North and a lot of cars in ditches and fields, some still upside down
Beautiful in Turriff, and car I was working on was frozen solid and covered in hoar frost. Back on the AWPR it was 0 degrees and raining, then south of Aberdeen it was 2, foggy and raining, with the puddles in the fields still holding on to a layer of ice.
I wish it would just dry out. I feel like I've been rained on every day since August.. even my Euro bike tour then was waterlogged. Enough already..

Without doubt an Amber was required. Took my Sister 3 hours to get home from Dundee to her cottage near Kirriemuir.
Says it was much worse than the storm that had the red warning.
I travelled down from Banchory to Fife during that storm, and don't remember that being as widespread or as disruptive as today? Arwen I think it was. Storm Frank was the big one that washed away half of Deeside if I remember?

Glad we came home from Rothiemurchus yesterday! Got 4wd and love driving in the snow but that's horrendous, I thought it would be a bit wintry but the forecasts really underestimated Gerrit.. Cupar badly flooded and trees down all around here in Fife.

Christmas day.
Boxing day
Beautiful morning and dead calm.
A9 was a bit sketchy on the way home and the low sun and salt spray making it pretty tough going. Big accident at the house of Bruar a wee while after we passed there I hear. Hope everyone is OK! Another car further South had spun out, strangely heading North with no snow?
Home to 4 degrees and grey. House is
