  1. Just in from leuchars- whiteoot on the way through Kilmany on the A92, again in Leuchars, couple of flashes just past Dairsie then quite a bit of lying snow in Cupar. Not much in Muchty though, but the hound has just come in from the garden and he's white, so it's on again. good.gif Off to Kirkcaldy noo as my exhaust just fell off.

  2. After Forfar it wasn't too bad, just a lot of surface water but no real flooding (well on the roads, plenty of flooding in the fields, especially the river Earn between Perth and Stirling). Luckily by the time we came back up, in the dark, the road had been cleared of both floods and debris. Hats off to the maintenance crews and police who must have had a rather busy day.

Please don't forget us breakdown guys too- we've had quite a week.. I'm off until Boxing day morning now, and am so glad to have dry feet! Take care out there folks, and Merry Christmas.

  3. Just in- 15 hour shift yesterday and 13 today pulling people out of floods and water related breakdowns. Parcel van floating in Strathmiglo, Ka submerged in 'Muchty and a VW Phaeton doing a boat impression on the Cupar road, and lots of bumps, accidents and electrical faults everywhere. Was down in Galashields yesterday and heavy rain, but not as bad as Fife. Wasn't raining in Edinburgh and M90 was closed due to an accident. Seems to have stopped now but the landscape has certainly changed. Strangely had very few calls to the East or North of Fife? Hope thats the worst over as I'm knackered!

  4. For those of you in the north, enjoy and stay safe!! It's going to be the best storm for a long while for you northerners!!

For those of us in the south, don't worry, there is always Hurricane Maria!!!!

Seems everyone has a short memory, just a couple of months back we had 108mph gusts in Eastern Scotland. Made for an "interesting" journey back from Dundee to Fife.
