  1. Seems v marginal here. Some big flakes in some heavy icy rain... Can't see this amount to much.
  2. We seem to have developed one of those snow shields... We normally get a good dollop from this kind of event...
  3. Looks to have stopped here! I guess just for a rest...
  4. Nothing terribly dramatic here. Been snowing a while but hardly settling... Surprised it's very heavy furthet east?
  5. You wouldn't think so from the radar but not snowing in Skipton yet...
  6. Slightlu surprised to wake to falling snow... Interested to see whether that means it didn't freeze as hard.
  7. I am a total amateur, but the heavy ppn that's currently off the coast of Great Yarmouth... is that likely to make it round to this region overnight? Or will it dwindle, divert or otherwise disappear? (There's still stuff heading for Scarborough / North York Moors - is it falling as snow at Scarborough currently?)
  8. You're right there.- it actually hasn't stopped snowing here all last night and all today but we haven't got that big a heap of snow really, in comparison with some shorter/heavier events. But some of the time it has been quite heavy! Back to grainy, small stuff now. I guess it's nearly all done, but then I've been saying that since this morning, so who knows! BBC still showing snow with us at 5.
  9. I think the 15cm bit must have been blown into a bit of a drift (although it was just on a bench without sides). It doesn't look that deep across the board, but definitely 8-10. Just had another very heavy burst, but must be geting towards the end now are we? (Although the BBC says we've got light snow right up to 6 ish?)
  10. Hard to give an accurate depth for Skipton. Just tried to measure outside but few even spots. Between 8 and 15 cm on the benches outside work :-) (They didn't have any of Friday or last Monday's snow on so it might be a little bit more in places)
  11. Some decent snow coming down in Skipton at present but don't understand how it will last all day though - from looking at radar?
  12. Less in Skipton itself, although biggest dumping of the winter thus far... BBC says heavy snow this pm. Where's that coming from?
  13. Unlikely your exam will be cancelled providing a caretaker and a teacher can get in - even if lessons cancelled. Wondering if we've a bit of snow coming to Skipton...
  14. Has snowed pretty-much continually since 4 - but light and small flakes. Some accumulation. Any chance of it pepping up a bit this far West (Skipton)? To think, a couple of days ago we were the bit of the region likely to get a pasting...
  15. Has been lightly snowing / snizzling in Skipton all morning. Only a dusting mind you.
  16. I went out in it an hour or so ago. Icy rain then (with some big fat icy snowflakes). All done now, I think. Might be the odd light shower overnight? What's fog likely to do to all the snow? Would like to go out for a walk in it tomorrow ideally! We never had any drifting because the wind never got up here, strangely.
  17. BIg flakes now. Not teaplates, but 50p pieces certainly!
  18. Yes, it's snowed all afternoon in Skipton but only really got going in the last couple of hours. I think there was a bit of freezing rain mixed in for a while. Still think there's a bit more to come...
  19. Thanks damianslaw - has already picked up here. Am hopeful for bucketful shortly!!
