  1. Likewise here on the Havering / Essex border, everything to the east and south of here. Dry as the proverbial bone.
  2. Nothing all day here at the Bridge, there were two brief but heavy showers in The City at BlackFriars during the day but of no more than tweny minutes duration.
  3. I still have A Trick Of The Tail as my screensaver at work Tom. The old woman staring into the cheval glass and seeing herself as a young girl still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Ripples never come back.
  4. Good idea! 22 minutes 53 seconds of pure genius. Walking across the sitting room.....
  5. The only way is Essex Steve. Safe sex may be a bus shelter but we know what we like
  6. Send it along to the Bridge here SN0WM4N. It's like the Germans at the gates of Moscow in October 1941 for me! Although with less snow and Panzers of course.
  7. Unfortunately Nick with their warmist left wing agenda I can't see that ever happening. I'm afraid that's what the result of putting hand picked idealogues in charge, but at least Mother Nature doesn't have a political aganda and does what she will.
  8. The most bottles I've seen in one place since a BBC documentary about George Best.
  9. Jamie it's looking just above freezing for the day but sharp frosts at night and some snow showers so should show the beauty of Prague off well, it always looks its best in the snow. Try and check out the Alcohol Bar as it is called in the Jewish district. The biggest selection of cocktails I have ever seen, the recipe book looks like War and Peace.
  10. I've just been having a look at the usually uber conservative (in terms of temperature extremes) intellicast web site and even they are going for maxima of 2 and snow showers for the back end of next week in my part of London suburbia.
  11. Certainly the heaviest snow of the winter so far, been snowing continuously since 430. I am a pretty large guy, 6 feet and 15 stone, and my Timberland footprints have disappeared since I got back from the pub an hour and a half ago so we must have had a good 2cm since then.
  12. I understand your frustration. Easterlies have been as rare as hen's teeth for many winters now. Oh for a January 1987 or February 1991. They always seemed to follow Ian McCaskill on the BBC so maybe they should bring him back like old FORTRAN programmers.
  13. It's come down as thick and fast as Wayne Rooney in a Formula 1 racing car here.
  14. A good old fashioned inch here and everything covered...been blizzard like powdery snow for a good two hours now and the kerbs on the point of disappearing. Even the boy racers are toning it down to eighty miles an hour along Upminster Road!
  15. Snap mate. I'm about a thousand yeards from the Essex border but still yet to see a hint of sleet. I suspect not long now though.
  16. Moderate to heavy rain here ppn is picking up although nothing wintry as yet. Temps still around 2.7 Celsius
  17. Captain Oates! 3 to one on that cad Amundsen getting there first. Temp now down to 3.1 DP 2.2. Steadily falling
  18. The wind has now veered more to an ESE from a SE although temps have risen slightly to 3.6 Celsius DP to 2.7
  19. Temp down from 4.1 Celsius at 10am to 3.8 Celsius here at the Bridge. DP down to 2.9. The Wilshere - Cazorla - Arteta triumverate now looking sweet Gregg. The best we've looked on the ball for a while, just need to finish. Villa or Jovetic?
  20. Alas! No fair near me. The gypsies left some time ago. Blast. Perhaps if I pitch a marquee in my garden I may have some luck?
  21. Great site SK. I was walking in the Vienna Woods very recently, I think I would have rather more trouble doing that now looking at the snow ppn there. The Heurigen will be taking a pasting!
